“Hehe~ Big Bro, you’re back.”
Chopper glanced at Vir, who had suddenly appeared on the ship, and spoke with a flat tone.
At that moment, Chopper was holding a small axe, chopping away at a training dummy.
When he saw Vir appear, he quickly raised the axe and asked, “Big Bro, how do you always manage to chop it at the exact spot you want?”
Chopper had been trying for a while.
But every time, it never worked—the cut never ended up where he intended.
On the dummy’s arm, Chopper had drawn a guideline with a marker.
Vir barely spared it a glance.
Then, with a casual flick of his hand, he smacked the raised axe in Chopper’s grip.
The force sent the axe swinging straight down onto the dummy’s arm.
Snap!
The dummy’s arm fell off cleanly.
The cut was perfectly smooth.
It aligned exactly with the line Chopper had drawn.
“What’s the big deal? Just swing freely! Who cares if you mess up? If you cut off too much, no sweat! Just call me! I’ll go over and give ‘em a brand-new one!”
After saying that, Vir hurried off to find the others.
Leaving Chopper behind, staring at the perfectly sliced cut, deep in thought.
“Old Ma! Old Ray! Old Ro! Old Ya! Old Bo!”
Vir shouted as he walked across the ship.
Hearing his voice, the others—who had been busy with their own things—exchanged confused looks before gathering on the deck.
“Who the hell are you calling Old Ya?!”
Yamato responded with a look of annoyance.
“Yeah! Exactly!”
Rayleigh, with his "signature" big butt sticking out, chimed in.
The others shot him a collective look of disdain.
“What? I may be old, but my heart’s still young! This old man just turned eighteen this year~”
The group could only sigh and shake their heads at his words.
“What’s up? Why all the yelling? Did something happen?”
Marco, still holding a bottle of booze, asked.
He and Rayleigh had been drinking earlier.
Hearing Marco’s question, Vir quickly explained.
“I’ve got a serious emergency! I need your help!”
Everyone’s expressions turned grave in an instant.
If even Vir couldn’t handle it alone—just how bad was this?
“Say the word! If there’s trouble, we face it together! I would never turn my back on my friends!”
Marco tossed his bottle straight into the sea and stared at Vir with a firm look.
Yamato and Rayleigh didn’t speak, but their eyes said the same thing — they were on board.
So what exactly did Vir need?
He’d already made up his mind.
He was going to turn into a bum.
A dirty and stinky one.
Since he didn’t know who Hancock hated most, he’d just go with the most obvious choice.
But to make it more convincing, he wanted someone on the ship to play a family role for him.
That way, it’d seem more legit.
If he just said they were friends, it might raise suspicion.
Plus, he had no way to prove he could heal Hancock’s scars otherwise.
There’s no way she’d let him try.
And using force wasn’t an option either.
Not because he couldn’t beat her.
But because Rayleigh was close to her.
If he tried to force her right in front of Rayleigh...
Yeah, that’d be a hard one to explain.
So in the end, it was better to go with a little playacting.
With that, Vir changed in an instant.
In a flash, he completely altered his face, body, even his family tree.
Robin and Chopper weren’t surprised by this.
They already knew about Vir’s abilities.
But the others? Totally different story.
Yamato even jumped back a full step in shock!
Everyone stared in disbelief at the suddenly transformed Vir.
Before long, they all shouted in unison:
“Who are you?! Where’s our Vir?! Or wait—this is your real form?! Damn, Vir! You’ve been hiding deep!”
