But it didn’t matter.
We trust our Uncle Ray can definitely handle it.
The key thing is, this really isn’t some filthy thing.
Uncle Ray probably won’t mind, right?
Yeah.
Probably.
Besides this one, he had another batch.
However...
That one...
Was also pretty strange.
Same ingredients, same process.
But the side effect was completely different.
It gave the patient a full-year-long feminization aura.
Not gender-swapping.
Just feminization...
Imagine Akainu, Aokiji, Whitebeard, or Shanks.
Once they got that aura...
Swaying their thick waists, taking sexy strides with their hairy legs.
Their butts swaying back and forth.
Fingers daintily curled in an orchid pose.
Then walking up to you and, in the most coquettish voice imaginable, saying:
"Viiir~ you're such a meanie~ why’d you make me like this~ you big bad man~"
Tssss~
Nope. Can’t think about it.
Can’t picture that!
My eyes already hurt.
My brain’s splitting apart.
This damn system really knows how to mess around.
Even something this outrageously ridiculous, it could actually pull off.
If this medicine is used on the right person, you could keep earning negative points indefinitely.
Straight-up financial freedom.
That’s how powerful it is.
So this one can’t be given to Rayleigh—he’s not worthy.
No one would even watch an old man like him prancing around in the middle of nowhere.
He wouldn’t even be able to bring out 10% of the ability’s effect.
So the gamble on which body part enlarges is clearly more suited for him.
Meanwhile, as Vir waited for Rayleigh to wake up, he conjured a flicker of purple lightning at his fingertip.
He silently observed it.
Feeling its violent power.
Who would’ve thought this rescue mission would yield an unexpected reward?
His lightning had actually advanced further.
And because he used his spatial abilities three times in half a second, his speed in activating them had also improved.
Gotta admit, Kizaru’s teaching skills aren’t half bad.
Way better than that useless Rayleigh.
What takes him just a few seconds to learn, Rayleigh would’ve dragged out over a month.
That’s the gap.
Two years of training Luffy still didn’t match up to a few smacks from Teacher Kaido.
Advanced Conqueror’s Haki? Fruit Awakening?
Learned on the spot.
That’s Kaido-sensei for you.
Top-tier instructor.
Guaranteed results!
At that moment, the others sensed a dangerous aura coming from Vir.
They warily turned to look at his index finger.
And when they saw the purple lightning, and felt the destructive energy radiating off it...
They were all stunned.
“You—you got stronger again?!”
Marco stared at Vir’s hand in disbelief, blurting out the words.
Even cursing out loud.
That purple lightning made even him feel threatened.
This guy’s growth speed!
Like Jozu’s endurance—
Absolutely insane.
Was his strength already surpassing Marco’s?
That question... might already have an answer.
Yamato, on the other hand, didn’t really get it.
She hadn’t fought many powerful opponents yet.
Barely any real battles.
But Chopper and Robin were different.
The lightning he used earlier had already reshaped their understanding of Vir’s power.
And now... it seemed like he’d powered up again.
Did that mean his bounty would skyrocket again?
Would the gap between them widen even further?
If Vir pulled off a big move right now, would it be even more shocking than the other two's combined attack?
Chopper looked at Vir with even more admiration.
But soon, both he and Robin steeled their resolve.
They had to keep pushing harder. If they didn’t catch up—
They might not even qualify to stand beside him anymore.
And honestly, they weren’t wrong.
If Vir were to create Purple Lightning Kanabo and combine it with his earlier technique...
He might actually crack Akainu’s skull open.
Hearing Marco’s comment, Vir just smiled faintly.
Waving his hand dismissively, he said:
"Heh~ My rapid growth is all thanks to my goal."
Vir spoke with rare humility.
His demeanor left everyone puzzled.
What’s going on?
Since when are you this modest?
This isn’t like you.
And what kind of goal could possibly be this motivating?
Naturally, they were all curious.
Even Robin and Chopper weren’t exceptions.
They still had no idea what Vir’s actual goal was.
Robin wanted to uncover the Void Century.
Chopper wanted to create a universal cure.
Everyone on the ship had a dream.
Except Vir.
He was the only one who’d never really said what he wanted.
Only once, when he was drunk, had he mumbled a few words under their relentless questioning:
"To live well."
That was it.
Who dreams like that?
That didn’t match Vir’s chaotic energy at all.
Everyone thought his dream would be something like “become the world’s greatest doctor” or whatever.
But “live well”?
Totally unexpected.
But that was just a drunken slip-up. No one really took it seriously.
Now that Vir had brought it up himself, everyone leaned in.
“Vir, what is your dream?” Robin crouched down to Vir’s level, looking him in the eyes as she softly asked.
“Yeah, Big Bro! What’s your dream?” Chopper, lying on Vir’s head, was just as curious.
Marco and the others edged closer too.
Vir suddenly gave a mysterious smile.
Then slowly spoke his goal aloud.
“Simple.”
“I want every patient I treat... to be completely incapable of resisting.”
He even gave a creepy little chuckle after saying that.
GASP—
Everyone collectively gasped and took a step back.
Even Chopper pulled his head in like a turtle.
What kind of dream is that?
Why does that sound so sinister?
That’s not right!
That’s some straight-up force-healing, isn’t it?!
But the more they thought about it, the more they realized—Vir’s goal was actually... pretty grand.
If no one could resist him...
That meant he’d have to be stronger than everyone.
You wanna fight back? How?
He’d just beat you half-dead first and then treat you.
Wasn’t that... basically becoming the strongest in the world?
Yep. A huge dream.
No wonder he was growing so fast...
Vir glanced over at Rayleigh, who still hadn’t woken up, and started getting a little annoyed.
What’s this old man doing?
Taking a nap?
Might as well wake him up!
Just as Vir was about to give Rayleigh a nice electric wake-up call—
A fast-moving object suddenly approached from the distance!
Vir’s Observation Haki caught it first.
But when he saw what it actually was, his brows furrowed in confusion.
Still, as the object was about to fly past them hundreds of meters overhead—
Vir raised his hand and snapped his fingers.
Snap!
A door appeared beside him.
And the object flew right through it.
Vir casually lifted a hand to catch it.
And the moment he stopped it—
A crisp sound echoed.
Pop~
