Akainu, consumed with rage, wasn’t the type to waste words.
He raised his hand and unleashed a massive Dai Funka.
In just a matter of minutes, two Supernovas had already fallen at his hands.
The first was Urouge, the "Mad Monk."
A towering, winged warrior from Skypiea.
The poor fool was the first to cross Akainu’s path.
And Akainu was seething with rage.
Yet Urouge, oblivious to the danger, thought he could test his strength against the Admiral.
You can already guess how that ended.
Akainu gave him a clean "shave".
You’d say the guy was bald to begin with?
Doesn’t matter—Akainu wasn’t shaving hair.
Two moves.
That’s all it took for Akainu to grab him by the face.
Two seconds later, his brain was roasted like a pig on a spit.
A sudden, brutal end.
Not every Supernova was Vir.
There’s only one man who can stomp enemies one by one like that.
In Akainu’s hands, these Supernovas were just popsicles—melting with a bit of heat.
The next unlucky one was Basil Hawkins, the Magician.
His straw dolls could absorb fatal blows for him.
All these fallen Supernovas shared one fatal flaw:
No sense of self-awareness.
His tarot reading had foretold he wouldn’t die today.
But because of Vir, his divination was off.
Only when Akainu had him crushed like a newspaper under his arm...
...did he realize he was wrong.
Akainu turned into a human furnace.
The fire spread fast.
Two seconds. His substitute burned to ashes.
He followed soon after—nothing but scorched dust.
Now it was Bonney’s turn.
She stared at Akainu, fully aware of the gap in strength.
But it didn’t matter.
Self-awareness could only reduce the odds of death—
not help her escape.
At best, it might land her in a prison cell.
But the magma fist hurtling toward her wasn’t offering a prison ticket.
It was a one-way elevator to heaven.
Bonney dodged with everything she had.
But with her strength?
No chance.
She’d come here after hearing rumors about Vir.
But instead of finding him, she got a big surprise.
BIG SURPRISE!
Bonney instantly assessed the situation.
No escape.
Absolutely none.
She immediately deactivated her Devil Fruit powers.
In an instant, she reverted to her true form—an eight-year-old girl.
Still no good.
Akainu’s magma fist only grew wider and faster the farther it traveled.
She couldn’t dodge.
Just as the searing magma was about to engulf her...
...a hulking figure appeared in front of her.
He pulled her into a tight embrace.
The burning heat that had seared her skin was now entirely blocked.
Bonney stared in shock at the giant bear-like man holding her, smiling gently.
In this most desperate moment—when death was reaching out for her—
Her father had appeared.
He looked as if he had endless strength, ready to protect her from all harm.
No matter how long he had been gone...
...he always seemed to appear whenever she was in danger.
This scene mirrored the original timeline, where a mindless Kuma saved Bonney on Egghead Island.
Even Vir, after witnessing Kuma’s life, couldn’t hold back his tears.
As Doflamingo once said:
"If you had my past, you might not be any kinder."
That statement held truth—
except for Kuma.
A single line—
"If it can cure Bonney, I will accept any fate."
—was enough to break anyone’s heart.
That... is what fatherly love is.
Heavy and immense.
You can call Kuma a fool, but you can’t question his love for Bonney.
He crossed a brutal sea of hardship.
His love reached the farthest shore of time.
He could forget everything.
Lose everything.
Except his love for her.
That would never change.
“The world kissed me with pain, I replied with a song.”
It didn’t matter if his body was mechanized, or his memories erased.
None of it could stop him.
Because fatherly love surpasses everything!
This punch, in the name of a father!
Saturn—can you withstand it?
Setting others aside, at the very least, Vir held the highest respect for Kuma.
That was why—
he had made that offer earlier.
Kuma had already endured so much suffering.
People say "no pain, no gain".
But Kuma? He got nothing.
It seemed like he lost everything...
Yet somehow, also lost nothing.
Because Bonney... was his everything.
His wish was simple.
To be by her side.
Yet for that tiny wish,
he gave everything—
until only an empty shell remained,
a plaything for the Celestial Dragons.
Now that he's here, and Vir has the power...
He won’t let Kuma suffer again.
This big fool—he’ll be the one to lift him back up!
Of course, if he can get some gains from it, even better.
That’s how Vir sees it.
And Bonney?
After the initial shock and joy...
She finally realized something.
Kuma’s chest—where Akainu’s magma punch had landed—was glowing red.
It looked like it could be punched through at any second.
After leaving earlier, Kuma had searched the entire island for Bonney.
But he couldn’t find her.
Eventually, an overwhelming sense of dread led him to warp himself here.
Yes—
He had almost arrived too late.
He had used his power to warp himself straight in.
There was no time to do anything else—only to hold her tightly.
In that moment, all vows were forgotten.
To Kuma, nothing was more important than Bonney’s safety.
Thankfully, the magma didn’t punch clean through him.
But on his back—there was now a deep, gaping hole.
It was a stark testament to Akainu’s power.
Akainu frowned at the sudden appearance of Kuma.
He didn’t know about Kuma and Bonney’s relationship.
Only Kizaru in the Navy knew.
But seeing him blatantly protect a pirate? Akainu found it revolting.
This guy had just sent the entire Straw Hat crew flying.
Such an act was extremely controversial.
Akainu wasn’t going to argue with him.
He hadn’t even dealt with him over the Straw Hats yet.
But once this was over, Kuma would face consequences.
But if he stood in the way of executing pirates—
that was another matter entirely.
“Tyrant Kuma! Today, on the Sabaody Archipelago, no one escapes! Even if someone flees, I personally hunt them down and blast them into ash.”
“Hand her over now, and I’ll spare her life.”
Akainu was well aware of Kuma’s ability to repel people away.
But he wasn’t bluffing.
If Kuma dared to send Bonney away,
Akainu would pursue her relentlessly.
He always kept his word.
This was a warning.
A demand for unquestioning obedience.
Kuma remained silent.
He didn’t surrender Bonney.
Instead, he looked down at his daughter—the little girl who had always been his greatest worry.
Bonney, sensing what was coming, tears welled in her eyes.
They just reunited—and now they had to part again?!
Damn it! It’s those people!
Those ones in white!
They’re the reason Dad couldn’t come back!
Seeing Kuma’s unchanging gentle smile, her tears overflowed.
"Dad..."
Her voice trembled, filled with sorrow.
Kuma’s heart shattered.
But she had to go.
Suppressing his own tears, he smiled softly and asked the question he had asked her so many times before:
"Bonney~ If you could go anywhere... where would you like to travel?"
