So wait.....if England and France had the code to the enigma machine from Poland what was the point of Bletchley Park and the code breakers? What happened that the codes Poland gave them weren't able to decode messages during the war?

Quoted from page 110 of Poland between the Wars, 1918-1939, by P.D. Stachura (ed.) "...in percentage terms, Polish military spending was second only to that of the USSR. However, it is important to underline that the whole of the state budget was smaller than that of the city of Berlin. Another illustration would be that the Polish defence budget in the years 1935-9 was not more than 10 per cent of the Luftwaffe's budget just for 1939."
