🕑 Added 2025-04-18 16:02:01 +0000 UTCChapter 170: Old Ray, You Gotta Work Hard!
"You filthy scum! Who said you could speak?! And you, you bastard, where did you come from? How dare you block me! Do you want to suffer the same fate as this wretched woman and die in agony?!"
A harsh, unfriendly voice rang out.
Vir furrowed his brows slightly at the words.
"Heh... not bad. Let’s see if this guy dares do anything to these Celestial Dragons." Kid muttered, a smirk of satisfaction on his face.
Anyone with half a brain could tell—Vir was not in a good mood.
But what would he do?
Would he actually dare lay a hand on the Celestial Dragons?
A single move against them would mean eternal damnation.
That was the core reason why the Celestial Dragons could act so arrogantly and unchallenged across the world—no one dared to retaliate. The consequences were beyond imagination.
Momousagi's expression had already turned grim.
If Vir attacked a Celestial Dragon, everything would change.
He would become an enemy of the world.
Death would be the most merciful outcome for him.
Meanwhile, Rayleigh adjusted his glasses, a mysterious smile playing on his lips.
"Fight, fight. I’ve long been sick of their arrogance. But remember—once you strike, you’ll bear the consequences alone."
"Gulp, gulp... Hah~"
Rayleigh looked completely relaxed, sipping his booze like nothing was wrong.
"You filthy commoner! What’s that look in your eyes?!"
Saint Rosward couldn't take it anymore after seeing Vir’s expression.
Without hesitation, he raised his gun and fired at Vir.
Saint Shalria, too, was no exception.
This damn commoner—he dared ignore her!
Unforgivable!
Both of them pulled their triggers at once.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Hehehe~ Yeah! Shoot! Kill him, kill him!"
The idiot son clapped in excitement, cheering like a fool.
Vir didn’t even glance at the incoming bullets.
Instead, his eyes were fixed on Rayleigh in the backstage.
Rayleigh was laughing and drinking like a man on vacation, not the least bit worried.
Perhaps he assumed that even if the Marines came, they’d only target Vir.
So he remained completely relaxed.
Seeing this, Vir's furrowed brows relaxed.
'Well, well, Old Ray... You’re pretty confident, huh?'
'If that’s the case...'
'Then I suppose it’s fine if I go a little harder?'
With that thought, the corners of Vir’s mouth curved upward.
Robin immediately recognized that look—Vir was about to cause chaos.
But... this wasn’t just some minor incident.
She tugged at Vir’s sleeve, her eyes pleading.
'Let’s leave.'
'Take everyone—Camie, the others—and go.'
Vir understood her meaning perfectly.
“Of course, we’ll go—right away. And I promise I won’t touch them.”
He smiled brightly as he spoke.
At the same time, he pointed at the Celestial Dragon standing closest to him.
Everyone assumed he was just planning to give this Celestial Dragon a bit of a shock—nothing too extreme.
That wouldn’t be too surprising, considering Vir’s usual temper.
But then—on the tip of his index finger, a glow began to rise.
A dangerous energy began to ripple in the air.
In that instant, everyone’s expressions changed!
What the hell is he doing?!
No—this isn’t some light punishment!
That lightning on his finger would reduce the Celestial Dragon to ashes—no, not even ashes would remain!
Momousagi instantly moved—flashing toward Vir with all her speed!
She had to stop him!
Did he even understand what kind of consequences this would bring?
Even Rayleigh couldn’t sit still anymore.
But he was too far.
Even if he wanted to help, he couldn’t.
All he could do was pin his hopes on Momousagi.
Robin was in complete shock.
'This is what you call "won’t touch them"?!'
'Not touch—just completely vaporize them?!'
Her eyes widened in terror, but she couldn’t stop Vir.
The lightning was already unleashed.
Kid’s jaw nearly dropped.
'Huh?! He’s actually doing it?!'
'Not just attacking—but going for the kill?!'
'That idiot! One strike, and he’s dead! If injuring them was bad enough, he’s really trying to murder one?!'
'How the hell did a reckless fool like him get such a high bounty?!'
Clang! Clang! Clang!—
The bullets bounced off Vir’s body, failing to even scratch him.
Meanwhile, the lightning reached Saint Shalria’s forehead.
Her face still carried that same arrogant, condescending sneer—as if she believed Vir’s attack was nothing but a bluff.
"You filthy—"
Before she could finish the word, the lightning struck her right in the forehead.
Momousagi, just one step away, could only watch as the lightning pierced through Shalria’s skull.
And then—
Zap~
The crackling sound of electricity rang out.
A bolt arced from the back of her head.
The Shalria’s vicious expression froze—then vanished entirely.
All that remained was a headless body, still standing upright.
Silence.
Everyone was frozen in shock.
Saint Rosward’s eyes bulged, his jaw dropped.
He stared at his daughter—now without a head.
He opened his mouth, about to scream some tirade about filthy commoners.
But the bolt of lightning that had passed through Shalria’s head—
Hadn’t dispersed.
It had vanished.
Vanished.
Momousagi, the closest, realized the horror a second too late.
Before she could even process Shalria’s death, she whipped her head around—
At the same time Rayleigh’s eyes widened in disbelief.
'This kid...'
'Is he insane?!'
Zzzzt—zzzzt—
Two more crackles of electricity.
And then—
Everyone stopped breathing.
Their minds blanked.
No thoughts. No words.
Only absolute stillness.
All eyes were locked on the three headless figures still standing.
Three...
Three Celestial Dragons.
Dead.
Not a single one spared.
In an instant.
All of them.
Dead.
This guy... is a complete madman!
Kid’s smug expression had long since vanished.
All that remained was sheer terror.
He couldn’t stay cocky anymore.
Screw it—if they don’t run now, the Marines would be here any second.
And at least two Admirals.
If he didn’t run now, he’d be feasting on Marine justice—until he choked on it!
This bastard is a lunatic!
Killing one was stupid.
But killing three at once?
That was pure insanity.
Kid didn’t hesitate—he turned and fled.
Momousagi’s mind short-circuited.
Three Celestial Dragons... dead?
Just like that?!
Vir... was he actually insane?
Vir looked toward the stunned Rayleigh.
And smiled.
'Looks like this fight won’t be as easy as you thought, Old Ray.'
'Don’t blame me.'
'I had no choice.'
'They were shooting at me.'
'This was self-defense. Pure self-defense.'
Rayleigh: 'My ***ing sanity is gone!!!'
