Splash~!
A fountain of blood erupted instantly!
The force of it even pushed Yamato back uncontrollably.
Fortunately, Vir caught her in time.
At that moment, Yamato stared at her severed hand lying on the ground.
Her mind went completely blank.
'Huh?'
'My... my hand’s gone?'
'I think... my hand’s really gone.'
'It’s really GONE!!'
Sure, it was barely hanging by a shred of flesh just now...
But he just cut it off?!
This sunny, cheerful guy actually cut her hand off?!
[Ding! Congratulations, Host! You’ve earned 180,000 negative points!]
That finally broke Yamato's mental guard.
"Ahem, I cut it off so I could reattach it properly. See? Now the bone, nerves, and blood vessels are all exposed. Makes it easier to reconnect!"
"Once I stitch it back on and seal up the wound on your stomach, you’ll be good as new!"
Vir’s explanation had Yamato nodding blankly in response.
Ohhh~ So cutting it off was for better reattachment?
Vir is a doctor, he wouldn’t lie to her... right?
But Marco, who had just rushed out of the control room, couldn’t keep his jaw from dropping when he heard that.
What the hell?
Since when does that make sense?
Once it’s cut off, it’s gone! How do you reattach it after that?!
Even Marco was at a total loss.
In the world of pirates, a missing limb is no joke.
From ordinary civilians...
To legends like Zephyr and Shanks.
Once it’s gone, it’s gone for life.
It’s not a laughing matter.
Vir just chopped off someone’s hand.
Isn’t this going to end badly?
Marco couldn’t help but worry.
That worry didn’t fade, even when he saw Vir pull out an arc welder.
A welder?! Is he really going to reattach a hand by welding?
Is that even possible?
All the connections were severed—how was this supposed to work?!
But when he saw Vir carefully welding the severed hand back into place...
When he saw Yamato’s horrified expression...
When he watched as the hand and wrist gradually fused together...
And finally, when Yamato moved her fingers in utter disbelief...
Only then did it hit him.
This...
This guy actually did it!!!
He really reattached it!!!
Bro, what the hell?!
This is insane!
This has to be the only doctor in the world who can pull something like this off!
When most people lose an arm, it's either replaced with a prosthetic or left as is!
This is insane!
Vir's medical skills... they’re completely beyond comprehension!
What kind of miraculous technique is this?!
Is there anything in the world this guy can’t fix?
World’s greatest doctor—this is what the world’s greatest doctor looks like!
Vir, meanwhile, had no idea.
This casual little procedure of his had just blown Marco’s mind.
To him, it was pretty simple.
First, transform the flesh, bones, and blood vessels into steel.
Then, align them... and weld everything back together, little by little.
When welding the blood vessels, just be careful not to seal them shut—just tack the outer wall.
Yup. Easy.
After finishing the hand, he moved on to weld Yamato’s stomach wound.
During this time, Yamato provided another 200,000 negative points.
She had officially broken the million mark.
When Yamato saw her hand turn to steel, she was already shocked.
But when the welding heat kicked in—an intense, searing burn—she finally realized something was off.
Wait a sec...
Is this... welding?
Why is she being welded?!
It’s one thing for a doctor to know how to weld—but why the hell are you using it on a patient?!
Since when is welding used on people?!
How messed up is this world?!
Once Vir was done welding, Yamato looked at her hand, now moving as smoothly as before.
Her face... was priceless.
Mouth open. Then frowning. Then eyes wide.
She cycled through expressions like a broken emoji generator.
It’s... it’s done?
Her hand... is fixed?
Reattached?
That fast?!
And it’s... like new?!
Welding actually fixed it?!
Welding can reattach hands?!
Bzzzt bzzzt.
Before long, her stomach was done too.
Yamato touched her soft, smooth belly.
Not a single scar...
The look on her face said it all—she was stunned.
Vir can use welding to reattach a hand!
Vir can even weld a belly shut!
This... this...
Vir is amazing!
Vir is incredible! VIR IS A LEGEND!
Just as Yamato was lost in admiration—
BOOM!
An actual explosion rang out!
Even Vir jumped a little at the sound.
He turned around—
Oh.
The welding machine had exploded after finishing the job.
Poor little guy. It had served him well.
Made him a nice chunk of points.
It deserved its retirement.
While Vir was paying tribute to his trusty arc welder...
The now fully-recovered Yamato sneak-attacked him!
With a feral pounce, she latched onto Vir like a wild dog.
This time, at least, she didn’t threaten to suffocate him.
But she had caught him off guard.
Vir wasn’t paying attention.
She actually managed to pull it off.
Still, as Vir looked at Yamato clinging to him with a bright grin...
His eye twitched.
What the hell.
Most people he treated would tremble at the sight of him afterward.
Why are you breaking the rules, little lady?
A patient hugging him in gratitude after treatment?
First time for everything.
"Vir, you’re amazing! Ace was right—you really are a fantastic veterinarian! Welding as treatment?! That’s so cool! Sure, it hurt like hell, but the results are incredible!"
"Look! Look at my hand!"
She waved her hand excitedly—
And then...
Whether on purpose or by accident...
She suddenly swung it straight at Vir’s face.
A mischievous smirk played on her lips.
'Bad guy!' she thought.
'Serves you right for bullying me!'
But just as her slap was about to connect—
Her vision blurred.
Vir vanished.
And in his place...
Was a fish?!
That was when the cold sensation of seawater hit her.
A wave of weakness followed instantly.
'I fell in?'
'I’m in the water?'
'How did I end up in the sea?'
'I was just clinging to Vir!'
'It’s him!'
'Him again!'
'He teleported me into the water!'
'Damn you, Vir! You jerk! Blub blub blub~'
Back on the ship, Vir smiled slightly as he used Observation Haki to watch Yamato flailing underwater.
'Really?'
'Trying to mess with me?'
'I’m the master here! You’re playing with the OG!'
Smirking, Vir glanced at his system prompt.
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for acquiring the ability: Thunder Bagua!]
