The Inca Empire - Life of a Dead Emperor - #3
🕑 Added 2019-09-05 15:01:00 +0000 UTCTo understand daily life in the Inca Empire, we travel from Cusco to Quito (located in modern-day Ecuador), where Thupa Inca wanted to establish a second capital city. From efficiently designed work assignments, to elaborate death rituals, life was neatly organized, masking rising tensions.

I'd rather Vote for Pachacuti than that lunatic we've got at the Moment.

Hey extra credits! here's a fun tidbit on the tobacco in this period! early tobacco was smoked via a 'Y' shaped stick (usually engraved and always hallowed) in which you would use the 'V' end to breath through the nose deeply. essentially smoking a loosely rolled tabacco leaf through the nose. (i've head some depictions of it being tied with cord) which got you a 5 to 10 minute high and a queezy quick hangover. Neat lil fact :) have a good one guys! (left this comment on youtube too)

This is a very interesting series. Except for the Spanish conquering stories I've heard little of the history of the Inca empire. So thank you for doing this one/
