And you start to notice something strange. Every large Spanish building in the city has been built on a foundation of Incan stone--because the Spanish did not build Cusco, they merely built on top of it. It was the Inca who, despite the altitude, built a city here. And not just any city--a city that ruled the largest Indigenous empire to ever exist in the Americas.

Good that you mention the problems with the sources in the regular episode for this. Because it's needed. When it comes to Amerindian societies we are faced with the problem of sources not written by the culture itself, or otherwise biased to present certain agendas.
