Thanks, we're really glad you enjoyed the animation! I kinda get tunnel vision for our content so it's hard for me to even keep up with any YouTube trends, but there's something kinda cool about watching a video where you hardly know anybody but you do know that ALL of them are big names in their own spheres. I bet there were plenty of people wondering "who are these weird bean people jumping around in that lava" but hopefully they enjoyed our bit even without knowing who we are!

We were at the end, but we also got to have the screen all to ourselves, as it were. Can't say I'm unhappy! As big as Rewind gets every year, it was exciting that they asked us to be part of it - and part of the first year that they included animators, no less!

Aside from EC, none of the youtubers I like were in that video, and Stephen Colbert doesn't count and shouldn't count as a youtuber as the studio simply puts up clips from his TV show and it's not content specially made for youtube. Also other than Matpat (urgh) and Simon's Cat (I don't mind that one just don't follow it) I don't think I have seen any of the others either.

I think having it animated at the end is far more fitting for the style of the vids than having Dan and James either blend into a crowd of faces or be hidden in makeup like Matpat

Another year, another chance to realize I've never even heard of 99% of the most popular YouTubers, and I watch A LOT of YouTube. Not a complaint or anything, it's just wild remembering the sheer volume of stuff on the internet. (It's super cool seeing you guys included though, really enjoyed that animation!)
