🕑 Added 2025-04-11 16:02:01 +0000 UTCChapter 156: Yamato’s Breakdown
Seeing this, Marco's face turned pale with fright.
Even though he had already seen Vir in action before...
What was happening right now was just completely off the charts.
Was that blood loss for real?
What kind of new twisted stunt was this?
He couldn’t even begin to imagine what the patient must be feeling right now.
He’d rather be a Pineapple-Head Old Man for life than ever become one of Vir’s patients!
This treatment was downright lethal!
Uh...
But with Vir around, no one's actually gonna die from their injuries...
Honestly, that in itself was a huge contradiction.
Looking at Yamato's deathly pale face, Marco couldn’t help but shake his head with sympathy.
'Poor kid.'
'You really walked straight into the line of fire.'
'You're the first person who’s ever volunteered for Vir’s treatment.'
'And most likely... the last.'
'Gotta admit—you’re brave.'
'But...'
'This is just too brutal!'
'Vir... is too savage!'
Meanwhile, Yamato was having a much harder time than Marco could even imagine.
'Do you know what it’s like to scream while chugging you own blood?'
“Gulp~ GYAAAH! Gulp~ GYAAAH!”
'Huh?'
'Can you hear the sound of my soul shattering!?'
'If you didn’t tell me, I’d never have guessed this was supposed to be treatment!'
'I NEVER WOULD’VE GUESSED, AHHHHHH!'
'If I’d known it’d be like this...'
'I wouldn’t have thrown those cuffs earlier!'
'I would’ve shoved them in my mouth right then and there!'
After slicing open Yamato’s stomach, Vir finally put away the chainsaw.
Once the chainsaw was gone, the blood stopped gushing... well, no.
It stopped spurting.
It was still flowing, though.
Vir reached up and wiped the blood off his face.
At least now his vision was clearer.
Looks like he needed to get himself a proper outfit later on.
His clothes and shoes were completely soaked in red now.
Bright as hell.
But he didn’t even like red!
Yeah, a full set of gear and a mask would help.
Otherwise, it was hard to see where he was even supposed to cut.
The cut on Yamato’s belly was slightly off.
Originally, he was just planning to make a small incision.
But now...
Vir stared at the slanted, C-section-level opening in silence.
Well.
Slightly... longer than intended.
No big deal.
Next up—
He just needed to apply some medicine to the exposed organs.
With that thought in mind!
Vir pulled out the same gas mask from last time and strapped it on.
Seeing this, Marco—who’d been spectating casually—immediately panicked!
With a whoosh—
He transformed completely into his phoenix form!
Then, with a frantic burst of speed, he blasted straight into the ship’s cabin!
BANG!
He slammed the door shut—
And barricaded it with everything he could find!
Desperately trying to block... whatever was coming next.
Then with a pop~—
The bottle cap came off.
And in the next second, an indescribable stench engulfed the entire ship.
Yamato, who had just caught her breath, was panting heavily.
She was still wondering—why had Vir just put on a gas mask?
Is this some new kind of medical equipment?
Just as she had that thought—
She took a deep, involuntary breath.
In an instant—
She froze!
Her stomach churned violently.
She immediately held her breath, but the smell was relentless—it clawed its way into her nose, her eyes, her soul.
Tears and snot poured out uncontrollably.
Her stomach churned harder and harder.
She was already bloated to begin with.
And now she was being violated by that ungodly stench.
The intensity of it wasn’t even human!
In the end, she just couldn’t hold it back anymore.
"BLARGH—!!"
Everything she had just chugged came rocketing back out.
The faster it went in, the faster it came out.
Not quite a high-pressure water cannon, but definitely fire-hose levels of force.
A towering geyser of vomit and blood shot straight into the sky...
Yep.
It was the same stuff Vir used on Whitebeard.
Yamato also had internal damage.
A little of this miracle brew would fix her right up.
Seeing Vir approach with that mysterious bottle in hand, Yamato suddenly found her strength returning—her back didn’t hurt anymore, her legs weren’t weak!
She bolted upright, trying to stop him!
But she was already heavily injured, and now with a C-section-level wound in her abdomen, there was no way she could overpower Vir.
Vir casually pinned her down with one foot—and she couldn’t move at all!
All she could do was watch in horror as Vir poured that unholy liquid straight into her body...
'What... is this?'
'WHAT IS THIS?!'
'Yamato felt like crying.'
'Is this what doctors are?!'
'Is this what treatment is?!'
'This is TERRIFYING!'
'What kind of doctor is this?!'
'What kind of scalpel is this?!'
'WHAT KIND OF MEDICINE IS THIS?!'
'I NEVER WANT TO SEE A DOCTOR AGAIN! WAAAAH!'
Having never dealt with doctors before, Yamato’s whole worldview had just been shattered by Vir.
After this treatment—
She’d probably start trembling every time she even saw a doctor.
[Ding! Congratulations, Host! You’ve earned 380,000 negative points!]
“UGH~ BLARGH~~ OOF~ UGH~”
Meanwhile, someone else was having a breakdown too.
Marco, locked away in the cabin, was cursing himself to hell.
'You IDIOT!'
'What good does hiding even do!?'
'Why didn’t you just fly away earlier!?'
'DAMMIT! Once we get off this ship, I’m buying a hazmat suit.'
'No—I’m buying TEN!!!'
Sharing a ship with Vir was pure torture!
He’ll surprise you when you least expect it!
What?
You’re asking what a surprise is?
Well—
When you suddenly collapse for no reason, the smiling doctor approaches, revs his chainsaw, and opens up your tiny little chest...
Then you won’t ask anymore. Then you’ll just... enjoy it.
This kind of thing—must be stopped at all costs!
Even if the odds are just one in ten thousand!
Meanwhile, after Vir finished pouring out the foul liquid, he didn't proceed any further.
"Yuck~ damn, this stench... no matter how many times you smell it, it always makes you want to puke, huh?"
He stood up and walked over to Yamato’s head.
By this point, Yamato had mostly stopped vomiting.
Not because she didn’t want to.
Just because she had nothing left to throw up.
Vir looked at Yamato’s frightened face and gently placed his hand on her head, giving it a soft pat.
"You did well, Yamato. You handled it way better than Ace."
Listening to Vir’s gentle voice, Yamato had a brief moment where she thought maybe that crazed, chainsaw-wielding version of Vir she just saw was only a dream.
But that didn’t last long. The gas mask on Vir’s face and the acrid stench still lingering in the air quickly dragged her back to reality.
"W-what are you doing?! Is—is the treatment over?! When will it end?!"
Yamato’s voice trembled with panic—right now, all she wanted was for this nightmare to end.
"Weren’t you the one rushing to get started just now? Why are you in such a hurry to finish all of a sudden?"
Vir spoke casually while reaching for Yamato’s injured hand.
Hearing his words, Yamato fell completely silent.
As arrogant as she had been just moments ago...
That's how obedient she was now.
'I’m such an idiot... Why did I ever want to see a doctor?!'
'And Ace is such a jerk!'
'Why didn’t he tell me Vir’s scalpel was a freaking chainsaw?!'
'If I’d known... if I’d known, I’d have never let him treat me!'
"Yamato, does your hand still hurt?"
Vir beamed at her with a cheerful smile, his tone light and sunny.
Looking at that smile, Yamato was thrown off again for a second.
Vir... kind of looked like a bright, easygoing guy...
Could it be... what she saw earlier was just imagination?
"It still hurts a little... It’s probably completely broken. Can you... fix it?"
Still a little dazed, Yamato asked softly.
But the moment her words fell—
Shing!
A flash of cold light streaked through the air...
Splat~
A limp hand hit the ground.
