You all deserve it - congratulations! The subscription approach doesn't work for me, frommy end, because I don't know what to do with an email from YouTube that ;lists a couple dozen channels. But thanks to Patreon, I do get word of your episodes, and I get around to them within a week, generally. Sorry to be so actually lame: I am "on the short bus" for a variety of reasons, all from the neck up.

Thank you! :) I'll send over a copy when I find the time to send it to the organisers xD

Extra History

The concern is appreciated! At the moment we're still going strong, but if that were to change we would want to look for new writing and art talent to bring in who could maybe take up the mantle.

Extra History

Ahhh, that's awesome, David! World domination is indeed next on our to-do list.

Extra History

Dang, that's a lot of watchtime! Thank you for the kind words, and here's hoping you continue enjoying the new stuff as it comes out!

Extra History

Hahaha! Thanks for sticking with us.

Extra History

Awww, thank you! That's so encouraging to hear. :D

Sara Samaletdin

You know I just wanted to say that it's understandable if you get tired of doing these and want to move on. It would be really sad but I hope you could let other people to continue your series since the concepts are great.

Well done, EC! You've all come a long way and I'm glad I stumbled across your videos. Because of you, I had the confidence to give a short presentation at my university about the value of video games in education. It was a thrilling and exciting experience, had a lot of interesting conversations and questions from the audience. As for Extra History, I'm so glad you guys made this a regular thing. I've learnt so much that I never really knew and I can't wait to see even more. Now, we go for 10 million and world domination...after a nice cup of tea ;) :)

Well done guys! You have totally earned this milestone. I have always been a history and mythology nerd. Then I somehow discovered your channel while researching the Punic Wars. I have been hooked ever since and have seen every single episode. and aside from the newest ones I have seen all over 200 times easily. Thank you for providing amazing content and for enriching not just my life, but all the lives of those who have seen your videos!

If you really want to thank us, you'll post the four-and-a-half hour video of James debating the merits of butterscotch versus cinnamon. We all know it exists. In all seriousness, though, congratulations. I've been here since the Penny Arcade days, and plan on staying for the foreseeable future.

Claincy

Congrats on a well earned milestone :) Your videos continue to be simultaneously educational, entertaining and inspiring.

Pavel Yakushevich

There's definitely MORE than that...

Kit Fagg

Oh and thank you for the Extra History series, its inspired a love of history i wasn't so aware of before... and i got to borrow punic war tactics in rp games!

Extra History

That's fantastic! We always hoped that EH would serve as a nice intro to more history, so hopefully your friends now join you for the "boring" history shows as well and find out they're not so boring after all. :)

Extra History

That's wonderful! I'm so happy that the show is helping you connect with your friends. Good luck to them on their project!

Extra History

Thanks!

Extra History

We try to give ourselves good breaks here and there so we can rest up and keep those batteries charged!

Extra History

It's still one of our proudest accomplishments that we made a series about 18th century British economic history interesting to people. ;)

Jim Land

Congrats! Ill tell you this. I came to this channel for the history. I'm the guy that likes all of the "boring" history shows on youtube. However, whenever friends get together there is no way I could ever get them to watch something like that. This is a vehicle that I can get even them hooked. Last week when we were having a (youtubeoff?) my friend posted a video from your channel, and now he watches the video game stuff too. Kudos!

Recently discovered that several of my friends are making their own commercial indie game. I don't have any skills in game craft, so I've not been able to join in. But thanks to watching this show for years, I'm able to talk one-on-one with their lead designer, programmer and artist about their game with their own language, and they now come to me for suggestions and the perspective of someone who "understands their industry and field, but is outside of it". Thank you, and I'll see you at the next million subs!

Extra History

That means a lot to hear! Thank you so much!

Extra History

You guys deserve it! Congrats on your successes, and here's hoping the team doesn't burn out anytime soon

William Icenrose

Side note - among my friends, the Extra History series on the South Sea Bubble is the most popular series you've done. It's how I introduce people to your videos now. It hooks them every time. ^^
