Suleiman Theme: The Lawgiver
🕑 Added 2016-03-10 02:05:37 +0000 UTC Suleiman the Magnificent stands on the banks of the Bosphorus, lost in thought. He wrote laws, won wars, and forged an empire. Listen closely to his theme, and you will hear the echoes of Justinian's Hymn, the Incarnation: two men a thousand years apart, who ruled the same city, and walked the same paths.Stream: http://www.kinerbrothersmusic.com/extra-history/

Glad you've enjoyed them! The Broad Street Pump theme is actually my ringtone for James these days. The vaguely Sherlocky tune suits him, I think!

I just wanted to thank the Kiner Brothers for the excellent music they produce for the show. I've been looking for some new songs to add to my morning commute to work and these are just the ticket. :) And thank you (Extra Credits) for providing download links. It is much appreciated!

I wanted to give the Kiners credit for this, but then Sean told me it was James's idea. So - the Kiners are still brilliant, and so is James. Ah-ha!

It's going to be a REALLY good one. I say that every time... but I'm right, aren't I? -Soraya

As someone with too many soundtracks on his playlists, I'm fond of motifs being remixed and recontextualised, so using Incarnation like that is a great idea. Roll on Suleiman!

You know, I've heard Suleiman's name before but I don't actually know anything about him or what he did. I am looking forward to this series of Extra History with baited breath.
