🕑 Added 2017-01-23 09:45:57 +0000 UTC NOTE: This is the result of the $8 raffle reward, NOT the result of the $5 Patreon poll (posted below). Your VOTE in the poll below will determine if this topic actually gets covered on Extra History. I just wanted to notify you all that the raffle had taken place so you weren't left wondering who won (or if it was you)! And the winner was... Otto von Bismarck and German Unification! The winner has been notified by email, so check your mail if you sent that topic in!

My dad's side of the family came from Prussia, near what used to be Koingsburg. That and German history is most interesting history. ;)
Extra History
You like the Germans, don't you? ;D

At least Lin-Manuel Miranda's got us covered there for a little while!

Both the December and January submissions were drawn at the same time - we allowed folks to send in two suggestions, but we only picked one winner. :) The results are now final, though!

I know it said in the email it won't work on the Android app, but I can't seem to see the poll on the iOS app either. Anybody else having that problem?

I take it this result is from the December poll? I ironically put German unification as my January choice, don't suppose I can swap with my December submission? ;) Some excellent topics to vote for this month :)

Even though it didn't win the raffle, my suggestion for the Late Bronze Age Collapse is up for voting anyway. Woo! :D

Someday Fredrick der Grosse... someday. Although Bismarck isn't that bad of a choice.
