I'm glad! The Eastern Roman Empire / Byzantine Empire is so often glossed over, but so full of interesting people and events, that we're excited to shine a little light on it.
Extra History
So have we. ;D
Bibi
Thank you!! I've been waiting for you guys to do Byzantine history since day 1.
Mask
Awesome! Thanks Soraya! I hope you get to be on the Q&A this time too.
Objection01
This is great I have never learned much about Byzatium. Also I love the artwork!

Amazing! I've really been looking forward to this! This episode was wonderful! The artwork was the best I've seen from you guys and I could really see your passion for this period! I can't wait to see the rest of this series!
Extra History
As someone who knows the history already, I hope you'll be pleased!
Extra History
Glad you liked it!

Secrets revealed: Justinian is James's favorite emperor. We're pretty happy we get to cover him!
Extra History
We had a lot of ground to cover before we could get into the meat of the story, and the fact that "Justin" and "Justinian" are such similar names (for obvious reasons) doesn't help. Hopefully once we hit episode 2 you'll start feeling the swing of things more. David's done some great work, especially with the upcoming battles!
Extra History
I did not even know about that, but I wouldn't be too surprised if James did since he's a Total War nut.
Extra History
I will! Always happy when our amazing artists get some love. <3 And I'll have an update for you about the Q&A later tonight!
Extra History
David sometimes reads the comments over here but this is so nice that I want to make sure he sees it, so I'll pass that along! Thank you!
Amy Reynolds
Oh my gosh, so awesome! I LOVE this period in history and these historical characters, and I love how you guys are handling them! :D Can't wait for more!

Wow, that has to be one of the greatest episodes art-wise from the whole EC channel and I've been with you guys from day 1. The jokes and wordplay is very clever, the characters are very well drawn and they even got name tags so they can be clearly identified (I guess it's a lesson learned from the Japanese episodes).
Martin Ockovsky
amazing episode, thank you very much!
Mask
Superb episode! Give my regards to David, as he took some very difficult outfits and architecture and gave them their full glamour. I'm really excited for the Q&A, and for more episodes.
Clearwood
Wow that was a busy episode, hard to keep track
Turlas85
An excellent first part. I know what's coming, but I can't wait to see how you guys present it!
Brett
This series turned out to be very well timed w/ the Belisarius expansion for Attila coming out :)
