Kaizen

Thanks for letting us know 😄

Kaizen

Yeah exactly. It looks epic with those eyes

Kaizen

He is indeed 😂

Kaizen

Ahh I understand it. Thanks for explaining. We thought it was a pretty epic moment and Trunks deserves it!

Hohoho

Trunks’ form is anime-only. This form never happens in Toriyama’s actual plot of the story, and never in the manga. It’s something Toei added, for seemingly no reason. Either way, I think some people’s hatred towards it is so forced. Just because it came out of nowhere doesn’t mean it’s suddenly a plague on the story. Since it’s never part of the actual arc outline, it’s inconsequential at most, so it doesn’t bother me that much. Either way, influence from people like Akio Iyoku has been leading to Toriyama’s modern writing, in general, often introducing forms out of nowhere, so Super Saiyan Rage isn’t all that egregious to me anymore (although this time it was Toei’s doing, not Toriyama’s).

Shamir Smith

They said fuck it just give Trunks exclusive form and we'll sell more merch with it.

Hitrule

Cool for the moment, trash for the story. Ugh. (Super Saiyan Rage)

Shamir Smith

Yeah, you’re beginning to see that Zamasu is completely insane

Toxic Brood

Ah yes Trunks goes Super Saiyan Rage. I've Always equated it to like Brolys uncontrollable nature. The whited out eyes shows it's not entirely his own mind. Makes you stronger but only for a short while.
