The Byakugan reflected the feeling that Neji's father was experiencing at that moment. He was angry to see that Neji, even though he was more powerful, would remain in the secondary family. But of course, he wouldn't kill his niece there.

So technically, Hinata could’ve just used the curse mark fail safe, but she’s not a malicious person and would never hurt anyone even if they were lashing out at her in missed placed anger like Neji. Yeah, this family/clan has some serious issues. Lol

Next episode should be good, and yeah Neji's father tried to kill Hinata because he was bitter/mad at the fact that Neji is basically fated to serve under the main family and kinda just snapped lol
