Raizen really needs a Snickers
Kaizen
That's crazy! He's extremely powerful if he eats humans
Kaizen
Damn he's so powerful
Kaizen
I'm so curious about that!
Kaizen
Yes, that's true. We understand it completely now! 😄

So they explained the "father" thing but it Is a bit confusing. Normally, when two people have a child, their genes pass on to the child and they inherit their traits. In this case, manyyyy generations ago raizen impregnated a human but the child wasn't strong enough to inherit raizens genes, so his genes went dormant in this families bloodline, until many, many years later, yusuke was born and became strong enough to inherit them. So technically, he is biologically raizens son, but also his great-great-greatx10 grandson.

All Might!
Chris Henderson
Lol dude they'll explain the ancestor father soon. Your confusion will be answered.
Shamir Smith
In the manga, Shujun actually becomes the new captain of the Spirit Defense Force.
Chris Henderson
Does that voice for Raizen sound familiar for you guys?
Shamir Smith
In the manga, they put more emphasis on the corrupt dealing of Spirit World. At the end of the series I'll explain. It's very political actually and I wish they didn't omit that from the anime.
Shamir Smith
You'll actually learn why Raizen doesn't eat humans soon. The reason may actually surprise you;)
Shamir Smith
Fun Fact: Raizen is only at a small fraction of his full power because he's starving to death. If he was at his peak he'd easily be head and shoulders the most powerful demon even over Makuro and Yomi.
Shamir Smith
Raizen gave his son a beating for misbehaving.
Shamir Smith
So Raizen was actually protecting Yusuke. Like any good father would.
Smitty
If Raizen would eat humans. He would be the strongest fighter in all of yyh.
DickGarrison
Now you finally met the strongest character in Yu Yu hakusho. Raizen is Yusuke ancestor which is pretty much his great great great great grandfather or father in demon terms.
