Gotenks regular SSJ is already roughly as strong as SSJ3 Goku (Super Buu is much stronger than fat Buu), so at SSJ3 he is way stronger.

"Imagine if they were Goku's age, they would be much stronger than him." That depends on if Toriyama wants them to be. I mean, Gohan would've likely been the strongest a long time ago had he kept up his training. More so if Goku didn't die. But, who needs logical progression when plot based progression trumps all! 😄
