For sure, Trunks can be pretty cool but he just doesn’t have the training/experience like the others.

Also as for the future androids being “weaker” than the present ones that is very debatable. Right before they kill future Gohan, #17 reveals to him that he had only been using half of his power up to that point. Trunks was unconscious and not around when #17 told Gohan that so he had no idea how powerful they actually were. As for why they were more evil, headcanon on my part is that maybe because they were released under different conditions than the present ones. Gero had more time to program/work on them but who knows.

Man the combo of Vegeta/Frieza/King Colds arrogance shows so well with Cell at times, gives him such a devilish ego. On top of having Gokus and Vegetas love for a challenge and fight makes Cell such a cool villain . And of course pre Kami Piccolo’s attitude thrown in there as well. Interesting how if you pay attention at times you can see Cell acts very similar to how they would depending on the situation at hand. The bug goes through more mood swings than a bipolar patient off his meds.

As messed up as it sounds, Cell is less racist than Trunks. After all, much like Vegeta's mom, he drinks all comers 😉
