I've been thinking about this one since I listened to it. The subversion in this audio of love of the divine into the obsession of a beloved is at once repulsive and delectable. The way you touch on the madness, mania, and loss of control that can border intense desire (at 1:14, 4:36, 7:02, 8:30, 9:05, 16:36)... the most visceral, worst kind of chills. Good job capturing the mix of terror and lust one can experience as a woman with a certain type of man. Caught the Rumi reference this time; is there a reference to Thoreau's poem "Love" at 2:56 I detect? Is 27:33 a reference to Tennyson? The whisper at 35:58, 35:59... I loved this. You're onto something with the layered conceits, Deepdark.
