TYFTC! Great to see the kids survived and are now thriving in their own ways. I do hope Rob can help Talindra with her confidence as he learns more about the specifics of the Academy.

Firana is a trip. She is starting to remind me of the Tracy Flick character from the movie Election. Hopefully she only gets the drive and not the unscrupulousness.

@Alphamoonman

Me: "Fucking did she really just say hoofsy promise? This is some real fairytale shit right here"

I Dare Korval

I disagree. Even with the transition it is explain how the kids got there and I'd rather the story move forward then go in to too much detail about the gnomes reactions (most of who we will probably never interact with again).

Talindra is so precious!

Nitr0Sage

I agree

Lol, love the mantra, the kids can induce Rob's new students and Telisandra into the cult as well. Even just to mess with him xD

They are following in dad's footsteps because they really want to. And the writing is so well done, they feel like a family, it's so organic.

I already liked her as a character, but I literally just fell in love with Talindra. Hoofsy promise just broke something in me.

Other than the entire chapter being accidentally bolded, I loved the "Do no harm, take no shit." philosophical mantra.

I feel like there is too little of a transition between this chapter and the last. This one opened with a conversation between rob and the 4 kids at the Gnome feast, but no indication of their presence was given in 211, and nothing introduced them to the scene in this one. There is also no reaction given from the Gnome crowd at the revelation of Rob's identity, which is what the end of 211 set up. It almost feels like a chapter is missing where Rob takes part in the Gnome feast and is introduced to the new characters there while the 4 make their way to the scene. As for the chapter itself, good talk. The disagreements on the finer points of Rob's personal philosophy was a highlight. I'm also looking forward to Talindra's character arc and the development of her (professional) relationship with Rod and the class.

Weird_Medic

Really great chapter. The dynamic of the group is one of the greatest thing about the story.
