Jessica Tandy originated the role of Blanche Dubois in the stage play of "Streetcar Named Desire". Here's a lovely photo of her from her early career in ( i think) Shakesperian costume. https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod/images/jessica-tandy-9501790-1-raw.jpg?resize=980:*

I really liked Jessica Tandy's performance in this film! She truly deserved that Best Actress Oscar! Jessica Tandy was also in Alfred Hitchcock's THE BIRDS (1963)! DRIVING MISS DAISY is currently and still is the last PG-rated Best Picture Oscar winner! All other Oscar winning Best Pictures since then have been rated PG-13 or R.
