🕑 Added 2024-05-06 02:14:12 +0000 UTCWhile recording sound effects for a slasher flick, Jack Terri (John Travolta) stumbles upon a real-life horror: a car careening off a bridge and into a river. Jack jumps into the water and fishes out Sally (Nancy Allen) from the car, but the other passenger is already dead -- a governor intending to run for president. As Jack does some investigating of his tapes, and starts a perilous romance with Sally, he enters a tangled web of conspiracy that might leave him dead.

Nancy Allen was in Brian De Palma’s most famous films. Carrie, Blow Out, and Dressed to Kill. Brian De Palma married Nancy Allen as well. I think he was infatuated with her, don’t ya think 🤔

Slow motion is one of Brian De Palma's techniques. He also used it in Carrie and The Fury.

Great reaction David!!! Oh by the way, John Lithgow killed those two other girls before Sally as part of the cover up. If he only killed Sally, it would have been suspicious. By killing those two other girls, it looked like the work of a serial killer and not just killing a witness to an assassination. When I first saw this film on VHS back in 1997, I hated the ending! It got me so depressed! But after several repeat viewings over the years, I started to admire Brian De Palma's style and technique so now Blow Out is now one of my favorite Brian De Palma films.
