Semiweekly only means twice per week though. Biweekly should be reserved for the other meaning. But that's just my personal preference.

Apparently, biweekly actually means both, per the dictionary. What a fun language.

Jericho Drakane

The definition of Biweekly is "occurring twice a week". You're thinking of a Fortnight, which is a unit of time that is two weeks long.

You mean twice a week. Biweekly implies one chapter every 2 weeks.

Diego Rossi

I think a wormhole require a massive ship, with a lot of mass , and the rare material requirements probably are staggering.

Considering how much fur my cat is shedding in this period, an hairy station in summer will be more than scary, it would be deadly.

Erios909

thanks, you were right, it was mentioned very briefly as being very expensive then skipped over during a meeting i've rewritten that section to not mention it now

JustAUser

In British English, we have "fortnight" meaning once every two weeks, and bi-weekly means twice a week. Unfortunately, American English just has biweekly to do the heavy lifting for both.

Jericho Drakane

Biannual means twice a year. So, biweekly would be twice a week.

Jericho Drakane

I don't remember which chapter it was, but didn't they already consider building a Wormhole Drive? They dismissed it with the reasoning that it would be nearly impossible to hide the construction efforts.

i don't know my brain is fuzzy, i always want to try to aim for more patron releases that public ones tho in the long term so 1 public, 2 patreon was what i wanted to go for at least until I have a bit more time

Yeah... A wormhole drive to reach Abbey and Heeler should be the ideal solution. Also, if any of the 4 powers really go to all-out war, you can bet your ass that they'll have those ' forbidden techs' on their ships regardless. So... better build them all now. If you can. Are they theoretically able to build a stable wormhole between 92 Pegasi and Meltisar? Or would they only be able to open them for short durations to 'jump' through? I mean... The one they used mainly collapsed behind them because the original A31 got destroyed, right? Edit: Doesn't 'biweekly' mean 'once every two weeks' and not 'twice a week'?

hairy space stations sound scary, what if it was having a bad hair day

@Erios909 stupid Question/suggestion Why are there no Humans lining up and begging to become NIAs? There should be some. Alpha apparently does not need a computronic unit. And where most humans would not want to be slaves they would not be the Exceptions.. (are the Alphas Stupid Slaves when on their own? ) But Most humans dream of Immortality and some would have diseases with no cure. Remember Dr Julian Bashir from Deep Space 9? He was so upset his parents made him an Illegally genetically Enhanced.. Then He found out from his mother he been Profoundly Retarded and None comunitive. His Mother tells him a Parent will do anything to save their child. How Would Alex Deal with some Mom who says Please Save My Baby? Cancer/retarded/Paralysed. What would you do or offer someone that could cure your Disabled or Dying Child? How would you Beg? And if the Alphas have Normal intelligence or some other low rank that does not need a computronic unit is it possible there could be some out there that do not KNOW they are NIAS? Or Programed not to Know? Yes they still have lot of Predjuce but if you think about it's very much Like a Scifi Vampire or Lich. You Live forever(being able to record your mind about as immortal as it gets) and gain great power in return must obey a master and are hated by most normal humans. There would be humans with diseases or just old or just want the Power that would Openly Beg to be Made a NAIs Even if it was just a Brain Damaged Alpha. So I got to ask where are all the crying parents? Is Tia somehow shielding Alex? And even if she is someone begging should have gotten through. And Do BETAs Need computronic units? At what rank does computronic unit become necessary? Could a Limited one be built that could be internal like Heeler's for a Human sized Beta by example?

"[...] the station hair was a few degrees cooler [...]" Probably meant air? Although now I want to see a hairy space station.

Aphanvahrius

Hmm, since Nameless seems to be busy with managing the sysyem, I think Alex should consider creating a Psi subcore with 100% focus on research and development and maybe they would be able to find solutions to some of those issues?
