âCanât believe this is actually happeningâŚâ Ron tightened the bracers around his forearm for what mustâve been the hundredth time.
âItâs happening, mate inâŚâ Harry checked the clock, âabout five minutes. Might want to get your head on straight before then.â
âBut Iâm going to be on the same quidditch pitch, competing, against Viktor Krum!â The gingerâs idol worship of the world class quidditch player had abated throughout the year. But itâs come roaring back in the last two weeksâŚ
âIâm still not sure this is entirely fair.â Blaise drawled, âI mean, I get the logic in it. Take the two winners and put them against each other. One last tilt to decide the overall victor, and one last bit of entertainment.â
âBut?â Harry prompted.
âTheyâve got years of experience and training on us. It tends to be a bit of an advantage at quidditch.â It was a fair point, but it wasnât as though they were a whole team of first years either. And apart from Krum, none of them are out there playing at the international level.
âAnd every other sport.â Dean added, the resident football fanatic of the group, âBut nothing says that a group of young guns canât find a way to beat a team with more experience.â
Blaise smirked, âOh, donât get me wrong. I have every intention of going out there and doing my damnedest to beat the snot out of them. That doesnât mean that Iâm not going to be realistic about our chances.â
A slap to his shoulder left Harry resisting the urge to wince, as Ron voiced his utmost confidence, âTheyâve got Krum⌠but weâve got Harry, and Iâve never seen him miss a snitch.â
âTrue, and if anybodyâll find a way to manage it, itâs him.â Blaise conceded, âBut even taking that into account, I still put our odds at two to one, at best.â
âYouâre really great at pep talks, Zabini.â Preece grumbled from beside him as he finished gearing up.
âIf you want a pep talk, you should go to our illustrious leader over there.â He gestured toward Harry. The only response he got was two fingers.
He was saved any such request by the entrance of Moran, âRight, lads, you ready?â
âAs weâre going to be, yes.â Harry answered for the group.
âRight then, follow me.â They followed him out, joining the ladies and Gwenog in the corridor.
Before they led them out onto the pitch, Gwenog offered them one last bit of encouragement, âItâs been our pleasure coaching you lot up this year.â She looked each of them in the eye. Theyâd heard her shout plenty of times over the course of the school year, but this was calm, confident, âYouâve been nothing short of exceptional to this point, and I expect nothing less today. You all know itâs going to take your very best to win today. So, go out there and give âem hell.â
As the team headed toward the pitch, she stopped him, making sure that he was the only one to hear, âHarry⌠if youâre going to win today, youâre going to need to catch the snitch.â If he was honest with himself, he already knew that. The chasers could hang in there with Durmstrang, but for them to pull out a 160 point lead would be incredibly difficult.
âIâll do everything I can to beat him to it.â Heâd done it once before, outside of a proper game. He knew it was possible.
Gwenog snorted a laugh, âYou know most professionals wouldnât sound half as confident as you do about their chances.â
He shrugged, âMost professionals havenât done half of what I have.â
Shaking her head, she said, âAlright, fair. Head out, captain.â
The team waited for him at the end of the tunnel. The sun shone brightly on the pitch, barely a cloud in the sky. It was a gorgeous spring day. Perfect quidditch weather.
They only had to wait a minute before Ludoâs booming voice carried over the crowd, âLadies and gentlemen, welcome to the culmination of the Tri-School Quidditch Tournament, between the Durmstrang upperclassmen!â Across the pitch, the Durmstrang side emerged from their tunnel to raucous applause from their school. They did a circle around the pitch in formation before taking up their positions.
âAnd Hogwarts lowerclassmen!â He could feel his ears ringing from the cheers and shouts. Moving to the front, Harry mounted his broom and soared out onto the pitch with the rest of the team behind. After a quick circle of their own around the pitch, they broke off as Harry headed toward the center where Viktor was waiting for him.
The referee was a bald man with bushy eyebrows and a stocky build. Looks like he was a mean beater in his day. As he reached the center he offered his hand to Viktor, âBest of luck, mate.â
âTo you as vell.â He offered back briskly. Regardless of their camaraderie, at his heart, Viktor was a competitor. So, when under competition conditions, he was all business.
As they moved away from each other, taking up positions on opposite sides of the center line, Ginny took Harryâs place awaiting the release of the quaffle. First they released the snitch, then the two bludgers, and finally the referee came to the center with quafflle in hand.
As he tossed it in the air, Ginny snapped upward and snagged it at its apex.
âAnd theyâre off!â Ludo called as the game got underway, âWeasley passes to Davis. Davis back to Weasley. A fantastic roll to avoid an oncoming bludger. Weasley over to Preece. Preece with a long, low pass to Davis. Davis dives toward the right goal. Engelstad moves to block. Fake! Pass to Weasley! Oh! And that was a tidy move, a clean elbow to knock it through the center. And itâs 10-0 Hogwarts!â
âEnglestad retrieves the quaffle and starts the Durmstrang offensive with a pass to NordenstamâŚâ As the Durmstrang side began their attack something became glaringly obvious to Harry. Theyâre just trying to hold it.
Two of their chasers were big-bodied blokes, and they just couldnât be harassed off the quaffle. Blaise and Inglebee fought for control of the bludgers but their counterparts were playing their positions defensively rather than offensively, keeping their chasers clean. As good of flyers as Tracey and Ginny were, they couldnât harass the quaffle away with size alone and so it took two of them to apply pressure only to leave an open outlet as a result.
It was a slow, methodical attack that went backward as often as forward, but they maintained control until they saw an opening and managed to punch one in to tie it up. It wasnât the most thrilling quidditch, but it was annoyingly effective. Particularly because it will keep the game close, as long as possible, and then they can rely on their world class seeker.
As the game went on, Harry found himself getting more involved with the team defense. He ran interference on their beaters, taking a bludger to the thigh for his efforts, but the added man saw them force more than one turnover and they just kept capitalizing, âWeasley to Preece, who tosses the quaffle over Engelstad for a fantastic goal through the left upright! Hogwarts leads 80-40!â There was a whistle from the referee, âAnd thatâs a timeout from Durmstrang.â
As they team made their way to the ground, their coaches waited for them, âWell done, you lot.â Moran complimented them, âYouâre quicker than them that much is obvious. Theyâre playing a turtle offense and leaning on Krum to pull them through. With Harry bolstering the defense, they canât sustain itâ
âDonât be surprised if they come out with a new approach out of the break,â Gwenog followed up, âTheyâve got size and experience on their side, but like Moran said, weâve got speed on ours.â Looking directly to Harry, she said, âKrumâs gonna be hunting for that snitch like a bloodhound once youâre back up there. If you canât beat him to it, give the chasers time to push that lead.â
âUnderstood.â Another whistle called them back into the air. The referee handed the ball to Engelstad and they were back at it.
Their coaches were proven correct immediately. Gone was the slow-paced attack. Nordenstam cut low before turning upward, trying to get behind Ginny. It was a deep pass from near the goal line to midfield. Ginny didnât bite on the initial move and managed to pick the pass out of the air.
As she sped up the pitch, she rolled underneath a bludger before tossing it toward Tracey as Puchalski barreled toward her. It was on target but Viktor cut through the middle. While neither seeker was allowed to catch the quaffle, there was nothing in the rules that stopped him from letting it smack against the bristles of his broom. The quaffle dropped like a stone only for his chaser, Nilsen, to pick up the free ball.
It was clear that if Harry was going to be involved in more than the snitch chase, Viktor was willing to do the same thing.
The battle ebbed and flowed, neither team finding much purchase over the other over the course of the next hour, âDavis from above the left upright. Tough angle, but she bounces it in off the bottom of the post and through. Hogwarts extends their lead 170- 110.â
As the quaffle was retrieved and returned to play, Harry caught it out of the corner of his eye. Viktor bolted toward one of the high viewing stands. Without hesitation, Harry pushed the broom beneath him to its limit to meet him. He trailed by a broom length as they wrapped around the tower and pushed toward the sky.
A right-hand turn and Harry gained a foot. To the left and he gained another. He could touch the bristles on Viktorâs broom with his cheek when they made a steep dive toward the ground. Steep turned into nearly perpendicular as they grew closer to the ground.
Harry hadnât seen the snitch. He was just trusting that they were in the midst of the chase. Thereâs every chance that heâs feinting me⌠just like he did to Cedric. So, Harry had a choice, either keep allowing Viktor to dictate the pace of things or take a gamble.
As they rapidly approached the ground, he made his decision. Pulling on the front of his broom, he changed his angle and pivoted ninety degrees, losing ground on Viktor in the process. All he could do was hope that heâd properly predict the snitchâs flight. And that Iâll be able to recover if I donât.
The crowd cheered as another goal was scored for the Hogwarts side, but he barely heard it.
As Viktor neared the ground, he pulled up hard, his toes nearly skimming along the grass and heading in the exact same direction as Harry.
Harry finally saw it then, the glimpse of gold and fluttering wings. But he could also see an outstretched hand ready to close around it. But as long as he still had a chance, Harry didnât have it in him to give up.
He pushed his broom on a direct course for the snitch at his steeper angle. He closed the distance in a second, arm extending. A few things happened at the same time.
Cold metal vibrated against his palm before stilling. Then he felt a sharp pain in his side as Viktor crashed into his very much exposed ribs. The collision made it rather difficult for Harry to pull up, and he crashed into the ground⌠hard. He heard something snap, and the lack of splintered wood around him and the suddenly sharp pain in his shoulder made him doubt that it was either his or Viktorâs broom.
As he laid on the ground, his breathing felt labored. Groaning he turned over before thrusting his arm upward to reveal the snitch, âAnd heâs done it! Harry Potter has done it! He beat Viktor Krum to the snitch by a hair with a truly bold move. The final score 330-110!â
The rest of Ludoâs praise and excitement was drowned out by the ringing in his ears. As his team rushed over and helped him to his feet, consciousness started to slip away.
When he woke, it was to muffled words and candlelight. Iâve been out at least a couple hours then.
âHeâs up.â Were the first clear words he heard.
The entire team was there, reserves and coaches included. He couldnât help but notice the ornate trophy sitting at the end of his bed.
The rest of the girls were there as well⌠except Susan. Though that changed quickly as she pushed her way through with a tray of potions, âGood, that means you can finally take these. Madame Pomfreyâs orders so donât even try and talk your way out of it.â
Grinning despite the pinch in his side, he wasnât going to argue, âWouldnât dream of it. Just how bad was it?â
Uncorking the first of the potions, she handed it to him before answering, âYou had four broken ribs and your clavicle as well. That was easy enough to fix, obviously. The only real problem, and the thing thatâs going to keep you here for the rest of the night,â he made to protest but she quieted him with a look that did Pomfrey proud, âwas the punctured lung, in multiple places.â
Rubbing his still tender side, he replied, âThat explains the pain.â Looking around at everyone, he asked, âAnd Viktor?â
âIs good.â Came the accented reply as the Bulgarian stepped from between Gwenog and Moran, âCouple broken fingers for trouble but easy to fix.â He gave a nod of genuine approval. âYour recovery was impressive, Harry. I thought I had you beaten. You have more balls than most professionals I play.â
Harry shrugged, âI saw an opportunity and I took it. â
âBecause youâre a bloody madman.â Blaise snorted. No one even considered disagreeing with him.
âI look forward to next time,â Viktor smiled, âvonât let you beat me again.â
Harry smirked, âYouâll try.â The Bulgarian shook his head good-naturedly before heading off.
âHell of a play you made, Harry.â Moran complimented him.
âViktor was right. Most professionals wouldnât have taken the risk.â Gwenog hummed to herself, âIf you decide to go professional, I really just might have to make an exception on the Harpies.â
âOi,â Moran piped up, red in the face, âweâve talked about this, Jones!â
Unfazed by him in slightest, Gwen replied, âYouâve talked Daithi, that doesnât mean that I was listening.â
âRight then, if weâre going to play dirtyâŚâ
âDoes anyone really play fair when it comes to new talent?â She cut him off.
That brought him up short, his brow furrowing before he conceded with a laugh, âAlright, fair enough.â
With that settled, she addressed the rest of the team, âNow that we know your fearless leader is still alive, I think itâs time we headed out. Have fun celebrating your victory. You lot earned it.â
As the coaches made their way to the door, he lamented, âSo, I suppose Iâm gonna miss the celebrations then?â
âObviously.â Tracey said entirely unrepentant, âBut weâll be sure to party twice as hard in your absence.â
âIf you party twice as hard in my absence, youâll be dead to the world until the end of term, Tracey.â Harry joked.
âHey, Iâm not that bad!â
Daphne but a hand on her friendâs shoulder, âIâve seen you hungover, Trace⌠and heâs right.â
Before she had a chance to protest, Blaise quickly added, âAgreed.â She flushed, poking him in the side. He jumped away, assuring her, âNot that itâs a bad thing necessarily. Youâre always fun⌠you just suffer for that fun worse than anyone else Iâve ever met.â
âLovely as this is,â Preece spoke up, âthereâs a party thatâs probably already started in the Hufflepuff Common Room, and Iâd really rather not miss it.â He saluted Harry, âWell done, captain, good to see youâre not dead⌠though since we wonât be on the same team next year, Iâll probably be lamenting that fact come next quidditch season.â
That earned him a slap to the back of the head from Ginny, âHey⌠I was only joking!â
âNot funny.â The redhead replied, âNow I believe youâre hoping that a different Miss Jones is waiting for you so why donât you head off.â
âHow do you know about that?â
âEveryone knows about that MalcolmâŚâ Emma interjected with a roll of her eyes, âeven the first years.â
Taking it on the chin, the Hufflepuff just smiled, âAll the more reason for me to go find her.â The rest of the team, save Ginny, said their goodbyes.
Trying to head it off before it started, he tried placating his partners, âI know what youâre going to say. Youâre going to say that I was reckless⌠that I was foolish⌠that I made a stupid play just for the sake of winning a game.â
âI was actually going to say that was an amazing play.â Ginny cut him off. As the other resident quidditch player of the group, she didnât exactly have room to judge.
âYes, truly impressive.â Anya added.
Orina winked at him, âVould prefer if you didnât end up in hospital wing just to vin butâŚâ
âWeâre all with you knowing full well what youâre like, âArry.â Fleur finished for her.
âItâs not as though Iâd be one to talk either.â Sue said, âDueling isnât exactly the safest hobby.â
âAnd if itâs a tradeoff between dangerous maneuvers and never seeing you in your quidditch gear again, I know which one Iâm picking.â Padma smiled
âIâm going to have to agree with Padma on this one.â Daphne nudged her shoulder with her own.
Glancing between the others, Susan shook her head, âMad, the lot of you are absolutely mad.â But she couldnât hide the amusement in her voice, âLucky for you, Iâll be around to patch you up when you need it.â
âAnd Iâm incredibly grateful for it.â Harry assured her.
He heard the door to the matronâs office open, and a moment later Madame Pomfrey appeared, âMr. Potter, youâre awake, very good.â Turning to Susan, she asked, âHow is he?â
âHeâs taken his potions and his numbers all looked good.â
Poppy hummed, âVery good.â She gave him a wry smile, âAnd here was me thinking that youâd manage to go a whole year without ending up in the infirmary.â
âI wouldnât want to hurt your feelings like that, Poppy. Canât have you thinking Iâve forgotten about you.â He gave her a roguish smile.
âYouâve been spending too much time with that godfather of yours, Potter.â She grumbled, but there was just a hint of a smile there, âNow, you need to rest. Itâll help you heal faster and make you more likely to get out of here bright and early tomorrow.â
âWell, you heard Madame Pomfrey, ladies.â Susan told the rest of the girls, âHeâll be out by breakfast as long as he gets his rest.â
One by one, they moved to give him a kiss, some on the cheek, others on the forehead. Their odd circumstances had become so common place among the staff that Poppy didnât even raise an eyebrpw as they said their goodbyes and headed out.
As Poppy went to her office, Susan remained behind, âTry to get some rest, Harry, really. Iâm helping Madame Pomfrey tonight, so just let me know if you need anything.â With that, she left him alone.
Sleep found him relatively quickly. Iâve always reckoned thereâs at least a mild sedative in some of Poppyâs potions. But inevitably, he ended up waking sooner rather than later.
As he opened his eyes, he stretched his side and found that the tenderness had diminished, and it nearly felt good as new. If anything, it was far less painful than another problem he was having. The evidence of which was tenting the blankets.
Itâd been months since heâd woken up alone and had to take matters into his own hands. But given the situation, he wasnât sure if he had any other option as he was in some genuine pain. Speaking into the darkness, he frowned, âWhat the bloody hell is causing that?â
âI told you to let me know if you needed anything, Harry.â Came Susanâs soft reply as she pushed aside the curtains of his bed. She glanced down at his situation and gave him a sultry smile. He had no idea if there were other patients in the hospital wing that night, and with the look in her eye, he didnât particularly care either. Besides, he trusted her to take any necessary precautions.
Moving to the bed, she sat down at the edge, just beside his hips, âAs for your question, that⌠is likely a result of the Blood Replenishing Potion you had to take. You had some internal bleeding that was dealt with but probably wasnât enough for a full dose of the potion and thisâŚâ, she placed her hand on his rigid length, âis a possible side effect for men.â
He couldnât keep the strain from his voice as she slid her hand along him, âAnd⌠is there any way to take care of it?â
âWell, I could give you a potion that should counter the effects of the Blood Replenishment, or it can be taken care of with more⌠practical means.â Knowing which option she had in mind, he was unsurprised when she shifted off the bed, slipping underneath the covers and laying across his legs with her cheek pressed against the tent in his trousers.
Lifting the top of the sheep, he could see her deep blue eyes shining in the dim light from the moon outside, âI like the way you think, Bones.â
Giggling, she reached for the waistband of his loose-fitting pants, âI thought you might.â Free of its confines, his cock snapped up, grazing against her cheek before slapping against his stomach. Just that was enough to make him groan. Heâd only ever been quite so urgent after Daphneâs antics.
Cooing, Susan took him in her hand, âPoor Harry, look how fucking needy you areâŚâ Gathering his precum with her thumb, she started stroking him, making him slick, âJust let me take care of you, love.â
Without another word, she opened her mouth and slipped her lips over the ridge of his tip. She flicked her tongue against his frenulum and his hips bucked up involuntarily, forcing more of his length into her mouth. Glugk. Gagging around his intrusion, Susan wasnât deterred in the slightest.
She sucked hard on her way up, until just his tip remained in her mouth Collecting the bead of precum on his tip with a swirl of her tongue, she pushed her way down as far as she could again. Her nails scraped against his balls with on hand as the other stroked the extra bit of him that she couldnât quite fit into her throat.
He throbbed, in her mouth, almost ready to pop, and suddenly, she was pinching him at the base, forcing him to hold out. Groaning in disappointment, he looked down to find her looking at him again, mischief in her eyes, âAh ah ah, not yet. I want to help you, but you have to let me have my fun first.â
âSusanâŚâ His voice came out deep and gravelly, she shuddered as her fingers drifted toward her thighs, slipping her fingers between her damp lips in her own horniness, âIâm desperate here⌠and I can only take so much teasing.â
âIâm not teasing,â she licked the side of his length, âjust savoring the moment.â Before she went back to work, she took the time to straighten and remove her shirt, revealing her perfect tits.
Pushing just a little bit further up the bed, she cushioned his cock between wonderful softness. Taking him back in her mouth, she squeezed her hands on either side of her breasts and started bobbing as she stroked him.
So much for savoring the moment⌠If she wanted him to hold on any longer, that wasnât the best way of going about it. It took maybe two minutes of wonderful, slow suckling before he was on the edge again, âFuckâŚâ
As she pulled away, he found himself reacting on instinct. Hand going to the back of her head, he kept her there as he throbbed and unleashed hot, thick spunk into her greedy mouth. The moment it touched her tongue, she came with a slutty moan. His eyes rolled to the back of his head as it just kept coming.
He felt a squeeze against his thigh and resistance to his hand, and he let go. In a flash she moved up his body, pulling her panties to the side as he kept spasming. Hilting herself on his shaft, she groaned against his ear, âFuck⌠I fucking⌠love it when I make you lose control.â
Her walls twitched around his length as she came again with him. As much as she swallowed, he still had enough to stuff her little cunt. He could feel his seed leaking out of her down to his balls to stain the sheets below. Hugging her to his chest, they came down from the high together.
Giddily, Susan told him, âYou just helped me live out a fantasy of mine.â
Quirking an eyebrow, he asked, âReally?â
Cheeks still flushed from her climax, she nodded, âOh yes, Iâve been thinking about being a naughty nurse for you since before the start of year.â
âYou couldâve told me.â He pinched her side, âI wouldâve gotten myself stuck here for a night sooner.â
She shook her head, âNo, it was bound to happen eventually.â He wanted to argue but knew that she was absolutely right, âBesides, more fun if it happens naturally.â
âWell, nurseâŚâ he flexed his still hard cock in her grippy pussy, âI think you still have some work to do.â
âOh, I wouldnât want to leave my patient distressed.â She placed her hands on his chest, and sat up straight on him, bouncing on him slowly.
By the time theyâd fully taken care of his situation, Susan swallowed one more load and took another in her pussy. As they cleaned up the evidence of Susanâs âtreatmentâ the sun was just peaking in through the windows.
About twenty minutes later, Poppy arrived to check on him, âWell, Mr. Potter, it appears that you had a good evening. Youâre free to head out when youâre ready.â
He couldnât help but share a look with the Hufflepuff.
