Someone copied NTR Phone using AI Art

I'll be honest. This scares me. I just feel like I can't compete with AI Art creators in the long run.
I did experiment with AI in the beginning using it as base to overpaint in the past but nowadays my drawings for NTR Phone or my previous Doujins are all entirely Hand drawn by me. It takes 5x more time though than to just generate images and fix them.
Their Patreon also raised a lot of money really quickly. I kind of feel like I'm being stupid for not going with the times and using AI Art (even though it's kind of unethical)
So here is my questions.
What do you care about?
Honestly, I just want to deliver a good product for the people who are paying for it.
Trust me, I wish AI art never existed. I practiced Art for 10 years to get to where I am. I'm not very talented so it took me a long time to get decent enough to possibly make a living with it.
But I stopped using any AI Tools out of ethical reasons. However, as an Artist myself, do I just give up? Let some people who never touched a Pen in their life take over my passion? If I used AI Tools I could overpaint the weird fingers, weird eyes and weird artifacts in the background.
So I'm just asking each one of you. You're the reason I can do this to begin with so tell me.
Also, don't send any hate to Netorase Phone Creators, I don't dislike what they're doing. We share a common fetish and it's no ones fault that AI art became a thing.

Hi, don't worry I don't dislike your project. But you can probably relate to me in a bit. My first reaction when I saw your game was "Damn, now I have competition." and "He probably made the game after he saw my project". I played through your itch io version, I really like the UI and mechanics of the game. That you get a notification when another character sends you as message as you're speaking to the main female love interest. I didn't really click with your Story but that's just my personal taste. Either way, wish you the best of luck with your game and sorry for phrasing my post in a way that may have offended you. :)

Hey there, I'm the creator of this project. Good job making me join! First, I'd like to say that I didn't "copy" your game, even though both are quite similar on a lot of points. I chose this format and structure for practical reasons, mainly. I had played your game before, and it probably inspired me on some points, but I can assure you I didn't copy it. Secondly, yes, I use AI. I'm basically the exact opposite of what anybody could consider a Visual Artist. This is my only way to create such a project by myself. But I consider the pictures a support of the text, not the only way. That being said, I don't think you should change what you are doing. Your art has it own identity, more than any AI art could ever have. I think I got a bit of success quite fast not because of the art, but because of the way I present the story, and my determination to create a "wholesome" Netorase story, which is the exact opposite of 99% of these stories. In my opinion, it's the only reason. But I don't think we're "competition". We're just making two different games that, while quite similar on some points, can cohabit, and don't threaten each other. I wish you luck on continuing this project. And now that I'm subscribed, I'll have to try Rachel. =D

I preferably like your work more than the AI. I've seen some screenshots posted on reddit, but it looks basic. Whereas, you are doing this all by hand and developing an actual personality in your original characters, vs the ai of a character that already exits. Its the originality for me. Keep up the good/hard work.
