Chapter 190: I Want to Go to Los Angeles
🕑 Added 2024-12-19 17:13:24 +0000 UTCOn the open-air stage, Victoria, dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, had already let her hair down, covering her energetic face to avoid the paparazzi and other annoying onlookers. After all, the song she was about to sing wasn't something a Swedish princess should be performing.
Can it even be called rap if the lyrics don't include curse words?
A crisp voice echoed from the beach, filled with profanities. Perhaps because Victoria was usually so concerned about her image, it seemed like she was using this performance as a way to vent. Her wild dancing and passionate singing were things Duke had never seen in their previous meetings.
Of course, compared to what followed, Victoria's performance was nothing. After her, a rather unremarkable woman walked onto the stage, wearing a necklace of purplish marijuana buds. She repeatedly sang lyrics like, "I just brought back some new stuff from Zimbabwe, want to try some?"
"Do you want to go up there and perform?"
Returning to Duke's side, Victoria affectionately wrapped her arm around his, urging him, "This is the best way to release your passion."
Duke shook his head immediately, pointing at the stage, "I think there are better ways to release passion than that."
Victoria quickly understood his meaning, snorted softly, and playfully bumped her forehead against his chest.
"You seem like a completely different person on stage." Duke smoothly changed the subject, leading her away from the crowd to avoid the loud music and what could only be described as noise disturbing their conversation. "I always thought you were a proper princess, but now..."
"Now you see I can curse too?" Victoria clung tightly to Duke's right arm. "Everyone has two sides, even a princess. I have a lot of stress, and I need ways to relax and relieve that stress."
"I completely agree with that." Duke, fully understanding, said, "My profession also requires me to live under a lot of pressure."
"Oh..." Victoria's blue eyes sparkled as she leaned in closer, curious, "How do you like to relieve stress?"
"Through some rather special methods."
Duke had no intention of telling the truth. He couldn't exactly explain to this still somewhat naive and starry-eyed princess that he had several friends with benefits for just that purpose, could he?
"Special methods?"
The girl showed her curious side, "Can't you tell me?"
"It's a secret!" Duke deliberately adopted a mysterious tone, "A secret only I can know."
Victoria unhappily kicked at the sand, letting go of Duke's arm, "You sound like one of those annoying British con artists right now!"
Looking at the dim stars, Duke took her hand and started walking toward the rented villa. "It's getting late, we should head back and rest."
"Rest?"
Victoria glanced at him, a hint of wariness in her eyes, but Duke ignored it and simply continued leading her toward the villa.
After a brief hesitation, Victoria bit her lip, recalling the sweet kiss they had shared earlier, and followed him obediently.
"It's so dark..."
Entering the villa, Victoria instinctively gripped Duke's hand tightly, urging him, "Turn on the lights quickly!"
"I think the hallway light is broken."
After flipping the switch several times without success, Duke had no choice but to guide Victoria into the living room, where he finally found the light switch and pressed it. Bright light filled the room immediately, but Duke didn't stop there. As planned, he twisted the switch again, and the lights dimmed, casting a soft, romantic glow, as if whispering sweetly to lovers...
At the same time, Duke turned around and looked at Victoria, standing just inches away. The princess, almost eighteen, was in the prime of her youth, one of the most beautiful stages of life. What might be taboo in North America seemed incredibly tempting here in Spain.
Given the current country, her status, and her age, Duke could let his guard down. There was no need to worry about being set up or manipulated, and there was certainly no fear that this future queen of Sweden would be exploited by others. His dark eyes were burning with intensity.
In the dim light, Victoria could see the heat in Duke's gaze. Ever since Paris, she had known that one of the world's most successful directors had a strong interest in her.
This man was a top figure in his field, one of the elite directors. His tall frame, rugged looks, outstanding talent, and mature, reserved demeanor had also stirred strong feelings within her. Otherwise, she wouldn't have agreed to this trip to Ibiza.
She was still clear-headed, though. Back at the beach, she had sensed his desire. Now, reason told her that retreating to her room and locking the door would be the wisest choice, yet her legs wouldn't move.
Maybe a passionate romance with him wouldn't be so bad?
In that brief moment of hesitation, Duke gently pulled her into his arms, his hands skillfully settling on her waist.
"Vicky..."
He looked into her face, and Victoria slowly closed her eyes, lifting her delicate chin. Duke wasted no time, pressing his lips to hers. His hands, as if by instinct, quickly found the fastenings of her shorts and t-shirt, undoing them with ease.
Feeling Duke's hands move over sensitive areas, Victoria resisted slightly, but when he pulled her tongue into his mouth, her hands, which had been pushing him away, instead found their way around his neck.
"Aren't we... going too fast?"
Finally breaking free from his kiss, Victoria panted heavily, whispering, "Isn't this happening too quickly?"
At this point, words were far less convincing than actions. Duke's arms tightened as he shifted her position, scooping her up and carrying her straight into the bedroom. Together, they fell onto the thick mattress.
Any token resistance melted away as the princess's passion exploded. Not only did she eagerly discard the few remaining pieces of clothing, but she also responded to him with fervent kisses...
A night full of passion ensued. Perhaps even Duke hadn't expected that a princess—Sweden's future queen—would end up on his list of casual lovers.
No matter how long the night, dawn would eventually come. As the moon and stars disappeared and the beach slowly regained its tranquility, a ray of sunlight streamed through the gap in the curtains, falling on the two unclothed figures lying on the wide bed.
Duke was the first to wake up, shielding his eyes with his hand until he adjusted to the bright light. The princess, curled up beside him, with her golden hair spread out messily, looked like an oversized, unclothed Barbie doll—oddly adorable.
Stretching to relieve the stiffness in his back, Duke knew that despite her delicate appearance, Victoria had proven to be just as strong and enduring as the Nordic women she resembled.
Long lashes fluttered as Victoria opened her eyes. She brushed her golden hair aside, gave Duke a sweet smile, and snuggled closer.
Duke kissed her smooth forehead, his hand gently caressing her back and hips. "Aren't you going to sleep a bit more?"
"No," Victoria shook her head, "I want to talk with you."
"Hmm?" Duke looked down at her, puzzled.
Victoria thought for a moment before meeting his eyes and saying, "After I finish high school, I want to apply to a university in California."
A university in California?
Seeing the seriousness on her face, Duke realized she wasn't joking and asked, "Which one?"
"Stanford..."
As soon as she said it, Victoria shook her head. "That's too far from Los Angeles."
At this point, Duke fully understood her intent, and the corner of his eye twitched slightly. Was she serious?
He had no intention of getting into a relationship with her. Hollywood's top commercial director dating the crown princess of Sweden? If word got out, the global media would go crazy, and he'd never have a peaceful life again.
"I've decided," Victoria propped herself up and gave him a peck on the lips, "I'll apply to USC or UCLA."
It seemed she had made up her mind.
Duke gave her a light smack on her firm backside and pinched her high-bridged nose before getting up and moving to the edge of the bed. "What would you like to eat? I'll make breakfast."
"Anything's fine," Victoria said lazily, her tone soft. She lay there like a contented golden cat, "As long as you make it, I'll like it."
Slipping into his casual clothes, Duke left the bedroom, heading to the living room to find his phone and order breakfast.
As for Victoria's earlier words, Duke didn't dwell on them too much. After all, a young girl's thoughts could change quickly. It was quite possible that within days of their vacation ending, she'd forget all about him. Besides, the choice of university for a crown princess wasn't something she could decide on her own.
And even if she did end up going to Los Angeles, it wouldn't be a big deal.
Time flew by in their carefree and relaxed life. After becoming more intimate, Duke and Victoria moved into the same room. Over the next ten days, their time together was filled with passion. When the vacation came to an end, Duke rented a private jet to send the princess to London.
In London, Duke met another member of the Swedish royal family—the once-famous Princess Madeleine, though she was still just a little girl at the time, barely over ten years old.
After seeing off the two princesses, Duke didn't linger in the UK and returned to Los Angeles. A big shot at Disney, who had recently joined the company, had reached out to him through Nancy to set up a meeting.

I think Duke might be retarded. Wines and dines an inexperienced and naive 17yo(kinda weird btw), does a buncha romantic shit and then is surprised when she didn't see it as something casual like he did??
