Chapter 130: Evil Begins
🕑 Added 2024-12-03 07:44:05 +0000 UTC"Hello, Ms. Sophie Marceau, I am Sheena Boone, the CEO of Super Artist Management Company."
"Hello, Ms. Boone, I am Sophie Marceau..."
In a café, Sheena Boone and Sophie Marceau met.
They shook hands, sat down, and after the waiter brought their coffee, they began their conversation.
Sheena Boone didn't beat around the bush and got straight to the point: "I'll be direct. My boss doesn't like Mel Gibson."
"You've worked with him before, and your relationship is good, so I came to you to ask for some information."
"Who is your boss?" Sophie Marceau asked, puzzled.
"You don't need to worry about who my boss is. You just need to know that he is a powerful figure in Hollywood. He can help you, and you won't be dragged down when Mel Gibson's ship sinks."
As soon as Shina Boone said this, Sophie Marceau immediately understood who her boss was.
The famous genius director from America, Gilbert Landrini.
But...
"I'm the female lead in this film. Mel promised me an Oscar nomination. Why should I listen to you?"
This was a valid point. After all, Sophie Marceau was the female lead in Braveheart and was aligned with Mel Gibson.
She had no reason to help someone else go against her own team; it simply didn't make sense.
Shina Boone smiled slightly and said, "You don't really believe that Mel Gibson can do anything at the Oscars, do you? Don't be naive, he won't win. Do you think after offending the Jewish powers in Hollywood, he still has any chance?"
Sophie Marceau's eyes flickered. During the filming, Mel Gibson frequently drank, and when drunk, he forced himself on her. She had to act as his temporary bed partner while on set, enduring his violent treatment, and he even took pictures.
It was one of Mel Gibson's hobbies; for every woman he slept with, he took pictures as a souvenir.
Sophie Marceau preferred tender affection, wanting romance — a trait of the French — but Mel Gibson couldn't offer any of that. He was just a rude, disrespectful, disgusting man.
However, for her career in Hollywood, Sophie Marceau had no choice but to endure Mel Gibson's threats. If she refused him, he would use those pictures to blackmail her.
Moreover, she had overheard Mel Gibson, while drunk, calling Gilbert Landrini derogatory names, such as "bastard" and "Jewish pig," saying he should be burned alive in a concentration camp. Fortunately, that didn't leak, or Mel Gibson would've been immediately kicked out of Hollywood.
No matter how the squid nation behaved, one couldn't afford to offend them in Hollywood.
Thinking of this, Sophie Marceau looked at Shina Boone: "What can he promise me?"
"Promise?" Shina Boone laughed. "Don't be silly, a big shot like him wouldn't easily make promises. But my promises are just as valuable. If you help us with this, you can leave CAA and come to us. I guarantee our agency is much better than CAA."
Sophie Marceau kept weighing things in her mind, finding it hard to make a decision. Shina Boone, however, ended the conversation by handing Sophie Marceau a list of contact information.
"Once you've made up your mind, call this number. Someone will tell you what to do."
Sophie Marceau took the contact information, feeling uneasy as she returned to her home in Los Angeles, where, as expected, Mel Gibson was already waiting for her.
"Where did you go?" Mel Gibson asked.
"I'm in Los Angeles for the first time, just looking around," Sophie Marceau answered.
Mel Gibson didn't suspect anything. Since Braveheart had been filmed in Ireland, Sophie Marceau had never been to Los Angeles.
He patted the sofa beside him, and though Sophie Marceau was extremely unwilling, especially after everything that had happened, she had no choice but to sit next to him.
Seeing Sophie Marceau's beautiful face and tall figure, Mel Gibson couldn't hold back anymore. His coarse lips moved toward her neck.
Sophie Marceau shrank back, and Mel Gibson wasn't pleased.
Sophie Marceau sighed and said, "Let's shower first. After the shower, we can... you know."
Mel Gibson smiled. "No problem, just wait for me."
Saying that, he slapped Sophie Marceau's backside twice. After she yelped, he entered the bathroom to shower, satisfied.
Sophie Marceau trembled as she listened to the sound of the sickening man showering. She knew what was coming next.
Mel Gibson had problems in that area, which was perhaps why he became more perverse in bed. He was rough, and his behavior was hard to endure.
In the past, she had no choice, but now, with a choice, Sophie Marceau's resolve wavered.
When Mel Gibson came out of the bathroom and waved her over, Sophie Marceau gathered all her courage and walked over.
Soon, screams of Sophie Marceau echoed from the bedroom, accompanied by Mel Gibson's twisted laughter. It seemed that with each scream, he became more excited.
"Just hang on a bit longer, it'll be over soon," Sophie Marceau thought to herself while enduring the slaps. On the other side, Shina Boone, after meeting Sophie Marceau, went back to report to Gilbert Landrini.
"I met Sophie Marceau. She seemed hesitant," Shina Boone said.
Gilbert wasn't surprised. "Looks like life with Mel Gibson isn't easy for her. Hesitation is good; it means there's room to work with."
"What if Mel Gibson doesn't bite?" Shina Boone asked.
"He will bite," Gilbert said confidently. "He's a strong person, just like me. He doesn't want anything to escape his control, including women."
The truth was, if Mel Gibson wasn't obsessed with Naomi Watts, Gilbert wouldn't have bothered with him.
But, as Gilbert said, he and Mel Gibson were alike: strong figures who couldn't tolerate someone eyeing their woman.
Although it didn't succeed, if Gilbert didn't teach Mel Gibson a lesson, every fool would think they could target his woman. That wasn't acceptable.
Some might say it's not wise to start a fight with a mega-star over a woman, but Gilbert didn't think so.
He was a jealous man, and as a normal man, he didn't want to end up in a situation where everyone knew his wife was being slept with by someone else.
Though affairs and swapping spouses were common in Hollywood, Gilbert wasn't like the rest.
To deal with it, Gilbert prepared two plans: Plan A and Plan B.
Plan A was Sophie Marceau, getting her to provide information and take down Mel Gibson before the Oscars.
Plan B? If Sophie Marceau refused, Gilbert would wait until Mel Gibson had success at the Oscars, then provoke him to make a big mistake.
Now, it was a matter of when Sophie Marceau would realize what was happening and jump ship in time.
Meanwhile, after their session, Mel Gibson smoked a cigarette. Seeing Sophie Marceau silently crying, he felt a great sense of accomplishment.
This French beauty, beloved by millions, was now under his control, humiliated at his will.
Mel Gibson wasn't worried about Sophie Marceau turning on him. With those photos in hand, she wouldn't dare to speak out.
After finishing his cigarette, he patted Sophie Marceau's shoulder. "Sophie, I need you to do something."
"What?" Sophie Marceau, thinking Mel Gibson had renewed interest, instinctively shrank back.
But Mel Gibson wasn't interested again. Instead, he asked, "Do you know Naomi Watts?"
"Gilbert Landrini's girlfriend?" Sophie Marceau asked, unsure.
"Which girlfriend?" Mel Gibson scoffed. "She's just a woman who exists because of Gilbert Landrini. Without him, she's nothing. But that's not the point. I want you to use Naomi Watts to get into Gilbert Landrini's bed."
Sophie Marceau froze, thinking that Mel Gibson must have discovered her meeting with Shina Boone.
But Mel Gibson hadn't discovered anything. He continued, "Follow the plan, get close to Naomi Watts, and I'll tell you the next steps."
"You want to go after Gilbert Landrini?" Sophie Marceau was even more shocked. "He's backed by Disney, Warner Bros., and 20th Century Fox. He's one of the most famous genius directors in America, and a Jew. This can't be possible!"
"Hmph," Mel Gibson sneered. "He's just a lucky young man. Once his halo fades, Hollywood will see his true colors."
"Anyway, follow my plan, get close to Naomi Watts, and I'll take care of the rest..."
Sophie Marceau looked at Mel Gibson, blowing smoke, and then thought of her earlier meeting with Shina Boone. A chill ran down her spine.
So, beneath Hollywood's glamorous exterior, it was filled with scheming and dirt? Had coming to Hollywood been a mistake?
She had learned some valuable lessons today. Even though she wasn't a complete newcomer, the competition in Hollywood was more intense than she had expected.
As for the schemes between Mel Gibson and Gilbert Landrini, Sophie Marceau found it normal.
Mel Gibson had been fixated on Naomi Watts, and Gilbert Landrini certainly knew about it. Any man who cares about his woman wouldn't tolerate someone eyeing her.
For Mel Gibson, ever since becoming a top Hollywood star, there was nothing he couldn't get. Women, money — he could have whatever he wanted.
But there were always those few women he just couldn't have.
For Nicole Kidman, Mel Gibson could beat up Tom Cruise
For Nicole Kidman, Mel Gibson could beat up Tom Cruise, a show-off. But for Naomi Watts, Mel Gibson couldn't act impulsively.
Gilbert is different from Tom Cruise. He made his mark at a young age, and even if luck played a part, his abilities and skills were not to be underestimated.
So Mel Gibson, recalling Michael Jackson's troubles from last year to this year, was suddenly struck with an idea to create some scandals surrounding Gilbert.
Of course, if it was just a one-night affair, it wouldn't be shocking if Gilbert slept with the French beauty Sophie Marceau. In fact, the American public would probably cheer for him, saying he was bringing glory to the country.
However, if it were caught on video, and Gilbert ,was accused of molestation or sexual assault, the situation would be entirely different.
Even if there was no lawsuit, Mel Gibson could still use the information to control Gilbert, ordering him around from that point forward.
From then on, Gilbert's films would be Gibson's films, his women would be Gibson's women, and his wealth would be Gibson's wealth.
Just imagining that scenario felt all too satisfying to Gibson.
