"Bloodstains Found at the Scene! Jigsaw Killer Looms Over New York!"
"What Motivates the Jigsaw Killer? Are the Victims Targeted Due to Racial Discrimination Against African Americans?"
Over the past few days, New York residents have been inundated with headlines about the Jigsaw Killer. New updates arrive by the hour.
What's even more bizarre is how various media outlets, after watching the videos and digging deeper, concluded that Jigsaw is a blatant racist with an intense hatred for African Americans.
Their reasoning? Two of the three victims shown in the videos were Black—an apparent case of racial discrimination.
Ethan could only shake his head and remark: "Journalism at its finest."
Meanwhile, reporters swarmed the police station for answers. After being badgered repeatedly, the police issued a statement: "There is no such case. We have not received any reports regarding the Jigsaw Killer."
But this response was twisted by many outlets into claims of "cover-ups" and "hidden investigations."
As an outsider, Ethan understood the truth: it wasn't that the reporters were clueless—it was just that sensational stories sold better.
Everyone seemed fixated on the killer's motives and the victims themselves, with little concern for whether the case was even real. It wasn't so much fear as it was a peculiar form of macabre excitement.
In such an atmosphere, newspapers attempting to debunk the hoax predictably flopped. After all, those incriminating videos seemed enough to prove Jigsaw's existence.
With this frenzy, news of the Jigsaw Killer quickly spread beyond New York, becoming a widely recognized phenomenon across the United States.
"Did you hear? There's a killer in New York called Jigsaw! He experiments on Black people with his bizarre contraptions."
"Have you heard about the maniac in New York who tortures and murders Black people? Word is his ancestors were slave owners, and his father was killed by a Black man."
"Scary stuff! I heard he's already killed over a dozen African Americans in New York, scalping them afterward!"
"Son, maybe you shouldn't go to New York. I'm worried you'll get caught by this psycho who targets innocent Black people. The police are overwhelmed!"
These rumors morphed into increasingly wild versions as they spread, reminiscent of the legend of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
But given the speed of modern information, most baseless claims were quickly debunked. This wasn't the slow-moving Middle Ages. Some journalists had already begun tracking the case in earnest, even drawing attention from major outlets like The New York Times.
Then, something even more terrifying happened.
"Puchi, you should buy some paint and turn yourself white. Otherwise, I'm worried I might lose you one night," Puchi's bespectacled friend teased him outside a photo shop.
Puchi rolled his eyes. "So your idea of saving me is to paint me white? Damn, that's thoughtful of you. But come on, I'm harmless! Why would Jigsaw target someone like me?"
His friend looked up at him and grinned. "Who was it that peeked at the girls' locker room before?"
"FXXK! Puchi, that was when I was six!" Puchi fumed, his dark skin flushed with embarrassment.
"Six, huh? By that age, I was already watching pay-per-view TV shows," his friend bragged without shame.
Not only did he say it, but he also mimicked actions, thrusting his hips in the middle of the street.
Puchi covered his bald head with his hand, pretending not to know him. "Damn, this is embarrassing."
His friend stopped his antics, shrugged, and said, "It's called practice. Otherwise, how will I impress the ladies later on?"
"Give it up, Puchi. No girl will go for a short, glasses-wearing guy who acts like a creep in public," Puchi said ruthlessly.
"Hmph, you're just jealous," Puchi replied, walking ahead. "You're worried I'll be more popular than you."
"Jealous of a virgin? Yeah, right." Puchi shrugged and followed.
The moment they turned the corner, they spotted a peculiar puppet stuck to a parking meter.
"What's this?" Puchi walked up to it and picked it up.
Before Puchi could take a good look, Puchi let out a scream.
"Ahhh! Help!" Puchi tossed the puppet onto the ground and hid behind his friend like a frightened quail.
"What's wrong, man?" Puchi asked, spreading his arms defensively, though he didn't see anyone nearby.
"The puppet!" Puchi refused to open his eyes, flailing his hands wildly.
"What about it?" Puchi picked up the puppet and turned it over. The moment he saw its face, his hand trembled, and he threw it back to the ground.
The puppet had a pale white face painted with red swirls on its cheeks, staring at them with wide, lifeless eyes.
"Damn! It's Jigsaw! It's Jigsaw!" Puchi yelled, visibly shaken. He had already been terrified by the execution videos and now couldn't believe Jigsaw's puppet was right in front of him.
What did this mean?
Was Jigsaw nearby?
Was Puchi's childhood misdeed the reason he was next?
Although Puchi considered himself an ordinary guy who had done nothing heinous, the puppet's appearance had him paralyzed with fear.
Seeing his friend so frightened, Puchi regained his composure. He stood in front of Puchi and scanned their surroundings.
"Look, no one's here!" Puchi swallowed hard and tried to pick up the puppet again.
"Don't touch it! We should call the police!"
"The police? And tell them what? That we got scared by a doll?" Puchi retorted, giving Puchi a deadpan look.
Despite his initial hesitation, Puchi examined the puppet more closely. He discovered it wasn't rigged with anything dangerous, though it did have a piece of paper in its hand.
"What's this?" Puchi pulled out the paper and handed it to Puchi.
"Hell no, this better not be some murder notice." Puchi reluctantly unfolded the paper.
It wasn't a message but a solitary date: October 18th.
"What does it mean?" Puchi asked.
"Maybe it's the next execution date?" Puchi immediately deduced.
Puchi nodded in agreement. "It must be!"
"OMG! We have to tell the police!" Puchi examined the paper again. "If this really is from Jigsaw, then this puppet might be crucial evidence."
"Yeah… you're right!" Puchi agreed.
The two decided to report the puppet to the authorities. However, they weren't the only ones who encountered it.
Others had also found similar puppets, though most either kept them, burned them, or buried them. Only five individuals went to the police.
The police couldn't open a case based on a single date with no substantial evidence.
Disappointed, those who reported the puppet could only leave the station and discuss the matter on online forums.
By that afternoon, Milon and Judy had already heard about the appearance of the puppet.
SpookyGlasses: "So, does this mean Jigsaw is really preparing for a new execution ceremony?"
FernandezExorcist: "I think so. After all, Billy has already shown up, and he announced a date."
TexasManiac: "But why go through all the trouble of making these puppets? Why not just post it online?"
Phantom: "Maybe he wants to create panic. I have to admit, he's succeeded."
PumpkinPhantom: "That's true. Posting online wouldn't have the same impact. But I'm curious—did he make all these Billy puppets himself?"
TexasManiac: "Probably a factory. But we can't investigate every factory, and the police won't open a case. Damn it!"
ZodiacKiller: "Isn't the puppet called Billy? I don't think Jigsaw ever mentioned its name. Someone on the forum must've brought it up. Can we trace their IP?"
PumpkinMan1987: "We checked. It's in Tokyo."
ZodiacKiller: "Figures. Jigsaw's thought of everything. Even if we checked the factories, it'd be useless. He could've sourced parts from different factories and assembled them himself."
Phantom: "So, are we just going to watch Jigsaw carry out public executions?"
General James: "Let them die. These worthless scum stole my military honors. They deserve it!"
Phantom: "…"
TexasManiac: "FXXK YOU, James! FXXK YOU!"
PumpkinPhantom: "I've banned him."
SpookyGlasses: "So, are we really just going to sit back and watch Jigsaw execute people?"
PumpkinPhantom: "Unfortunately, yes. That's the reality."
Gurqi finished typing this response and couldn't suppress a chuckle.
"This is how it should be. Kill, Jigsaw. Only this way will the forum get more traffic."
He muttered to himself as he reached for the Billy puppet
