Chapter 153: Hot Debut
🕑 Added 2025-01-02 16:22:16 +0000 UTCIt must be admitted that looking at these girls standing before him in their glamorous appearance was truly eye-catching, and the sense of satisfaction from their growth was intoxicating.
Outside the crowd, Taylor Swift was watching everything, but her gaze never left Ethan. In her pupils, his handsome face was reflected, her lips slightly pursed, as if deep in thought.
After a brief exchange, Ethan took on his role as the director for the day and began filming the girls' new music video.
There was not much to say about the MV. Ethan had drawn inspiration from future K-pop MVs, with the entire video featuring the girls singing and dancing in various outfits on different stages.
Of course, Ethan still made use of his superb camera skills, highlighting the girls' waist-to-hip ratio and curves without any reservations.
For him, this was second nature, with no difficulty involved. The only challenging part might have been the frequent scene transitions. In this MV, Ethan experimented with several transitions.
For example, some transitions were done through a drop of water, while others were done using a pendulum. The post-production was handed over to a professional team after filming.
Once the post-production was complete, the MV was burned onto a CD and sent to factories for mass duplication and distribution to various record stores.
"Whoa!" A vehicle passed by, and Madden and Puchi, two unlucky guys, were being thrown out of a record store by Deval.
"Don't hang around if you don't have money!"
"Bang!" Deval slammed the door shut.
Madden and Puchi exchanged a glance and then angrily tried to rush back inside. "Damn it, is this how he treats customers? I'm going to teach him a lesson!"
But before Puchi could take another step, he lost his balance and slid forward a bit, then turned back to Madden. "Why didn't you stop me? Are you just going to watch your brother rush in and get humiliated by the store owner?"
Madden raised his hand to his chest and said, "Because I know you won't go."
"Is it that obvious?" Puchi asked, confused.
"It's that obvious. Just like how you're itching to vent after seeing a photo shoot, it's that obvious."
"Hehehe!" Puchi quickly tried to stop his friend from continuing, "Do you think I have no dignity? You think I'm some desperate animal, huh, Madden?"
"Did you hear that the Angel Declaration just released a new photo collection?" Madden quickly changed the topic.
"Go fast! I can't wait!" Puchi immediately forgot his previous questions and got excited.
Madden was left speechless, but Puchi was already determined to run, positioning himself like an athlete at the side of the road. Ten seconds later, he sprinted off like a mad dog.
However, just as he ran a few dozen meters, he heard a ringing sound. Turning around, he was surprised to see Madden riding a bicycle beside him.
"You cheated!" Puchi accused his friend.
"I never said we were racing, buddy!" Madden grinned, "Keep it up, Puchi! You'll catch up to me soon!"
"Ahhh!" Puchi watched as Madden rode farther and farther, then shouted in frustration. He immediately stopped.
A minute later, when Madden turned around to check on Puchi's position, he suddenly heard several honking sounds.
"Beep beep!"
"What?" Madden turned his head to see Puchi sticking his head out of the window of a taxi, looking quite proud. "You actually have money for a cab?!"
"Haha, of course! I have money. I was just fooling you guys before!" Puchi stuck out his tongue, his glasses sliding down his nose.
"You're such a jerk, Puchi, you tricked me!"
"Hahaha, serves you right!"
The taxi suddenly screeched to a halt, and the driver turned around to look at Puchi, while Madden stopped his bike, dumbfounded.
Because Puchi had stuck his head too far out of the window, a streetlight pole had hit him on the head, and now he was holding his head in pain on the back seat, groaning.
His glasses had flown off and shattered five meters away, reflecting the bright sunlight.
Two hours later, with his head bandaged in white gauze, Puchi was crying outside a bookstore, wearing new glasses.
"It's all that damn competitive spirit! My money!" After leaving the hospital, his wallet was truly empty.
"Hey, cheer up, buddy, at least you got a new pair of glasses, right? Even if they're just as ugly as the last ones."
Hearing this, Puchi started crying harder.
"Alright, this time I'll pay for the new photo collection!" Madden said, and immediately Puchi stopped crying.
"Really?"
"Of course! I'm going to buy it right now."
"Go!" Puchi stood up and immediately dragged Madden into the store.
Not long after, Madden found himself staring at his empty wallet, close to tears.
"Awesome! Look at this cover—one, two, three... seven! Seven girls standing together, they're so beautiful." Puchi was admiring the photo collection, "I can't wait to rip off their clothes and rub my big fingers all over them!"
"Exactly!" Perhaps because the photo collection had emptied his wallet, Madden was now tapping his shiny bald head, fuming.
The two tore open the packaging and started admiring the photos at the bookstore entrance.
"Wow!" The first photo was already quite shocking, showing seven girls lying together on a big bed.
They were wearing red-and-white cheerleader outfits, with their short skirts revealing long legs and high heels. Madden and Puchi were both drooling.
But that wasn't the essence of the photo; the real highlight was that all the girls were lifting their cheerleader outfits, biting the edges of their clothes with their mouths, revealing colorful bras underneath.
"Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet... Oh my God, it's actually rainbow-colored!"
Puchi seemed to have found a treasure, stamping his feet in excitement, feeling like his blood was boiling with his buddy.
"It looks amazing, kind of like the Powerpuff Girls!" Although the colors were many, the image didn't look chaotic. Each color corresponded to a different size, arranged from small to large, and it made people want to get closer, tear up their clothes, and examine the differences.
"Exactly. So, is this a new group?" Before buying the photo collection, both Madden and Puchi hadn't looked closely at the cover description. They'd only focused on the big gold-embossed "T" logo, because that meant it was a work by photographer Ethan.
From Kaden and Cindy to Lilina and this new photo collection, all of the photo albums that sold like hotcakes in the U.S. were Ethan's works. So now buyers recognized this logo and would buy anything with it without hesitation.
It wasn't just Madden and Puchi thinking this way. During the time they were looking at the photos, most of the men who came out of the bookstore also had a copy of this collection.
Out of curiosity, Madden flipped over the photo album cover and carefully looked at the introduction. He found that the group was called "Hot Angels," and the first page mentioned that they had just released a new album.
"New album? Then we must check it out!" Puchi adjusted his glasses, his face shining with excitement.
"We have to go, but before that, let's finish looking at the photos!"
"Look!"
The two continued to squat outside the store, occasionally commenting. Some guys who had just bought the album joined them, and before long, five or six people had gathered.
"I love this girl, what's her name?"
"I don't know, check the cover introduction."
"Ah, her name is Mona, so sexy. She reminds me of the older sister from my neighbor's house when I was a kid. We used to hide in the storage room together... that was my first time."
"Sounds exciting. What about your first time?"
"My first time was with my teacher..."
"Damn, I envy you! My first time was taken by a street girl."
"My first time was with a classmate."
"What about you two?" Somehow, the conversation veered toward the topic of first times, and after several guys shared their experiences, they all turned to Madden and Puchi.
"My first time was with my left hand," Puchi replied seriously.
"Left hand? Hahaha!" The guys laughed, raising their eyebrows at Puchi, "Anything besides the left hand?"
"Still a virgin!" Puchi proudly said, "I'm saving it for my goddess!"
"Your goddess?"
"Kaden, Cindy, Avril, and now the third girl from the right in this group. What's her name?"
"Jones."
"Ah, you sure have a lot of goddesses."
"Of course! Blame me for being so loving."
"Hahaha."
The guys found it amusing to tease Puchi, as it was rare to encounter someone so blindly confident in themselves.
After discussing the photo collection, they learned that the group had released a new album, and they all headed to a nearby record store.
Coincidentally, the store was playing the music video of "Hot Angels."
"This dance is really intense." Madden's eyes widened as soon as the MV began. He had been particularly interested in the girl with the biggest chest when looking at the photo collection earlier.
"So superficial, Madden. Look at Jones' big butt! That's real beauty!" Puchi held a completely different opinion.
But everyone had their preferences, and while admiring the dazzling dance in the MV, they all expressed their thoughts on the girls.
"This MV looks amazing, it's so bright."
"This MV is really good, so bright."
"Yeah, I love how the girls dance. Look at those twisting waists, wow, amazing."
"This short-haired girl is the best dancer. She's so slim; I like her!"
"I think Mona looks the best, with her auburn hair. Wow, she looks like a glamorous witch."
"Hey, but this is a song; shouldn't we be focusing on their singing? This blonde girl sings the best."
"But she has a small chest."
"Yeah, and her legs aren't the longest."
"Dammit, you're all so shallow."
"So you like her?"
"No, I like the ones with big chests."
"FXXK YOU!"
While everyone was discussing the group and choosing their favorite singer, the sales of "Hot Angels" album were rapidly increasing.
And in the latest Billboard rankings of the week, it shot up to number 30!
