🕑 Added 2025-01-01 09:08:06 +0000 UTCBeyoncé's new song soared to the top five of the Billboard chart within just a week, and it was expected to take the number one spot in the following week. This undoubtedly reaffirmed Ethan's sharp eye for talent. In the industry, Ethan had already earned the nickname "The Midas Touch" due to his involvement in producing music videos for songs that often made it to the top of the Billboard charts. Even the ones that didn't make it to the top ten still made it to the top twenty, which led to the curious impression that his name and music videos constantly popped up.
However, the truth was that Ethan was never known for being prolific. Since his debut, he had only directed six music videos. Many directors shot six music videos in just six months. But Ethan's works were frequently reviewed by music critics, and given the popularity of the songs he worked on, it created the false impression that he was always in the spotlight.
Beyoncé's new song didn't stop at just this level of popularity. The quick squat move she started with quickly went viral, and it wasn't long before it sparked challenges from various celebrities on numerous variety shows.
Madonna, Rihanna, Britney Spears, and others all performed the squat and dance moves from Beyoncé's music video during their shows. Male stars acted as background figures or comic relief, just like the host who had his crotch rip and revealed his green underwear.
The audience also joined the challenge, and when Jimmy passed by a dance school at a mall, he saw young women inside mimicking Beyoncé's moves, as if they had become a symbol of a popular trend.
"Congratulations!" Friends from Beyoncé's earlier career days congratulated her upon seeing her success.
Beyoncé even went back to the company to meet with the new generation of Destiny's Children.
"1, 2, 3, 4, good, keep it up." In the dance studio, she saw the new members, along with their leader Latavia, collaborating on the new song's choreography.
Tap tap tap! Beyoncé, wearing high heels, walked up to the door of the dance studio. She wore a sparkly, form-fitting mini skirt that shimmered under the studio's lights, almost like a victory armor of the goddess Athena.
Upon seeing her, the dance teacher quickly opened the door with a smile, "Darling, long time no see."
Beyoncé nodded, "Long time no see, Cecily."
"I watched your new song, it's amazing. You've always been the best dancer," Cecily said while welcoming Beyoncé inside. As they spoke, the new Destiny's Children members turned their heads.
"Beyoncé!"
"It's Beyoncé!"
Although Beyoncé hadn't yet reached the level of a legendary diva, she was very popular within the Destiny's Children group.
The new members immediately stopped dancing and came up to greet her, while Latavia furrowed her brow, not speaking and seeming to intend to slip away from the crowd.
But Beyoncé called her out.
"Latavia... why aren't you speaking?" Beyoncé smiled and greeted her, seeming friendly. However, she knew Latavia hated being called "Latavia."
"I... uh... I'm feeling a bit unwell," Latavia knew Beyoncé was there to show her up, so she refused to accompany her.
"Unwell?" Beyoncé walked up to her, pretending to get closer, whispering directly in her ear: "Did my bottle hit you too hard, bitch?"
"FXX!" Latavia almost cursed, but seeing others gathering around, she had to swallow her words.
"Did you see my new MV?" Beyoncé "intentionally" reminded her, "This week's sales should top the Billboard charts. Sadly, I guess it exceeded your expectations?"
"Uh... yeah..." Latavia forced a smile, "I thought it would be number one this week."
Beyoncé beamed, "Thanks for your congratulations, but it's not necessary. Alright, I'm off now, you all continue practicing."
She didn't stay long, and after chatting a bit, she left.
After she left, Latavia also claimed to feel unwell and left the company.
In the afternoon, wearing large sunglasses, she found the famous black producer, Fischer, in the music industry and begged him to produce a new album for her.
"Latavia, you know me. I can't create anything without inspiration," Fischer said, his neck covered in gold chains, a typical nouveau riche vibe, and his speech was accompanied by the sound of burping.
"Then tell me, how can you get inspired?" Latavia waved her hand, signaling him to make a request.
Fischer took off his sunglasses and smirked, "It depends on you. Whatever passion you give me, that's the kind of inspiration I'll get."
"Okay."
They both entered a car in an underground parking lot, and the car started shaking violently.
Twelve minutes later, Latavia got out of the car, while Fischer could be seen struggling to pull up his pants.
Slap!
The next day, she saw her exclusive news report on the desk in the boss's office.
"Destiny's Children's Latavia and Famous Producer Fischer Caught in a Love Affair in Underground Garage"
"Passionate Car Battle! Destiny's Children's Latavia Boldly Confesses Love, Fischer Risks His Life to Accompany"
"Latavia Falls for Married Producer Fischer, 12-Minute Car Shake Affair"
"This isn't true!" She vehemently denied, but neither her boss nor the public believed her, because the people in the photos were too clear.
From getting into the car to getting out, even the seconds were accurately noted in the news.
This affair with a married man would be a stain on her reputation for life.
When Ethan heard this news, he was lying under an umbrella on a private beach, wearing a red-and-white shirt, a straw hat, and sunglasses. He was watching Anne Hathaway return from swimming while taking a phone call.
It was clear that Ethan himself had hired the reporter to expose Latavia.
"Well done, great journalist. You found the truth everyone needed."
"We have plenty more to collaborate on. I know your principles, and coincidentally, I'm also someone with strong principles."
"Hahaha, here's to a successful collaboration."
After hanging up the phone, Anne Hathaway, wearing a sexy one-piece swimsuit, sat next to him and placed her flawless white legs in front of him, shining brightly and almost blinding him.
"What's got you so happy?" Anne Hathaway, who had just finished filming Clint Eastwood's new movie, was now on a break.
"Nothing much, just the movie's promotion has been confirmed." Ethan lifted her legs and placed them on his lap, gently caressing them.
"Can you tell me the details?" Anne Hathaway always felt Ethan was mysterious, both in his films and his company, giving her a sense of seeing through fog.
"I can't share the specifics. It's confidential, but I can tell you about the next plans."
Ethan smiled as he leaned over and kissed her cheek. "My movie is set for October 20th, and the promotion date is set for September 20th."
"That's still four months away," Anne Hathaway calculated, "What's the plan for these four months?"
"There's a lot to do…" Ethan raised his fingers, listing things off: "First, a new idol group is releasing an album, and their boss has asked me to shoot their MV and photos."
"Next, the movie Little Miss Sunshine is entering production. Although I won't be directing it."
"Why aren't you directing it? You liked the script, didn't you?"
"Although I like the script, I'm not a fan of directing family comedies. I find them a bit boring. Honestly, it needs a more delicate female director."
"You mean Greta?" Anne Hathaway had heard of Ethan's assistant, Greta.
"Yeah... exactly. She's perfect for it. The difficulty level isn't high, so it suits her. The hard part is finding the right young actors." Ethan paused, then continued: "I'm mentally prepared to spend almost a year looking for the right actor."
"How come?" Anne Hathaway shrugged. "This is Hollywood."
"Yes, it's Hollywood!" Ethan laughed. "Who knows, we might find the right actor tomorrow."
"Then, since you're producing, don't you have any new projects coming up?" Anne Hathaway knew Ethan was always busy, full of energy. She had experienced this firsthand.
"Of course not," Ethan shook his head and leaned back. "I plan to write a novel first."
"What?" Anne Hathaway widened her eyes. "Ethan, are you kidding me? Are you sure you're writing a novel, not a script?"
"Exactly, a novel," Ethan replied confidently. "I have a really interesting idea that I want to write down. Honestly, I think it will definitely be a hit."
"Really? Oh my god, what kind of story is it?" Anne Hathaway asked, surprised.
"Well… it's a story about a tortured romance? No, actually, it's more like an SM story." Ethan couldn't help but smile as he said this. He wouldn't actually write a novel, but writing down the concepts in his head wouldn't be hard.
After all, that movie was very similar to the original, so if he wrote it as it was, there wouldn't be any issues.
But to ensure the novel was completed smoothly, he planned to find a collaborator to help polish it.
"What's it called?" Anne Hathaway, seeing how serious Ethan was, couldn't help but be curious.
Ethan placed his hand on her calf and gently pinched it. As she laughed and squirmed, he answered, "The novel's name is... Fifty Shades of Grey."
