Chapter 61: Enrolling in Heaven Dou Royal Academy
🕑 Added 2024-10-24 17:34:27 +0000 UTCWhile Yang Podi went to study at Heaven Dou Royal Academy, a meeting was convened within his clan.
Attending the meeting were Yang Wudi, Yang Wushuang, and six elders. Yang Wudi addressed the elders: "Esteemed elders, now that Yang Podi and Yang Ping'an have gone to study at Heaven Dou Royal Academy, it's important to note that Podi has already reached level 35 in soul power. He might be the youngest Soul Elder in the history of the soul master world, which could attract the attention of ill-intentioned individuals. Yang Ping'an has also shown exceptional talent, reaching level 27 at the age of 12."
"Originally, I didn't plan to send them to Heaven Dou Royal Academy, but His Highness the Crown Prince personally invited our Breaking Clan, and the other three clans of the single-attribute families have already sent direct disciples. Since we are part of the Heaven Dou Empire, we can't decline without cause. Therefore, I arranged for Podi to study there."
"With Podi's current talent, he's nearly unprecedented. If all goes well, he has the potential to become a Title Douluo, or perhaps even surpass that. To ensure the safety of Podi and Ping'an, I propose sending an elder to protect them in secret. What do you all think?"
Yang Wushuang expressed a similar viewpoint, stating that both Yang Podi and Yang Ping'an indeed needed covert protection to prevent any potential loss to the clan.
The six elders, all elite members who had dedicated their lives to the Breaking Clan, understood the gravity of the situation. They unanimously agreed that someone should be sent to protect the two.
After deliberation, they decided that the Third Elder would go to protect them secretly.
The Third Elder, Yang Wuju, was a veteran of the Breaking Clan with formidable strength. Thanks to medicinal aids, he had recently broken through to become an 81st-level Contra. His spirit rings were configured as two yellow, two purple, and four black rings, granting him immense attack power. Ordinary Contras would find it difficult to challenge him. With him protecting the two youths, their safety would be assured.
Yang Wudi repeatedly cautioned: "Third Elder, you should follow Yang Podi and Yang Ping'an discreetly. Unless there's extreme danger, do not intervene. These two children still need to undergo trials and tempering."
Third Elder Yang Wuju nodded in agreement. As an elite of the Breaking Clan, he understood that soul masters would face various challenges during cultivation. These challenges serve as motivation and opportunities for breakthroughs. Given the exceptional talents of Yang Podi and Yang Ping'an, who would be future pillars of the clan, they needed to be tempered, but their safety had to be guaranteed.
After leaving the committee building with Teacher Li, Yang Podi didn't go directly to the dormitory. Teacher Li first took him to the logistics department to receive his student badge, dormitory key, and three sets of uniforms. He then gave Yang Podi a tour of the entire campus.
One had to admit, Heaven Dou Royal Academy was enormous and lavish, boasting the best facilities in the Heaven Dou Empire.
For example, the library was vast, reportedly containing countless books on soul master cultivation—one of the largest libraries in the empire. In the middle of the academy was a beautiful lake, offering a serene environment. The mountaintop and back mountain areas housed various mimicry cultivation sites suitable for all types of soul masters. The dining hall provided an abundant variety of dishes, including high-energy soul beast meat, all free of charge. The training grounds and battle arenas were expansive.
In summary, regarding cultivation conditions, Heaven Dou Royal Academy could meet all a student's needs. Its infrastructure, living environment, and teaching resources were arguably the best in the Heaven Dou Empire. No wonder, in the original story, Yu Xiaogang was eager to bring the Shrek students to study at the Royal Academy; his intentions were clear.
Finally, Teacher Li led Yang Podi to a tall dormitory building. The dormitory was luxurious, fully equipped with numerous rooms—enough to accommodate an entire team, let alone one person.
After reaching the dormitory, Teacher Li departed, leaving Yang Podi alone with the school's curriculum schedule.
Alone in his room, Yang Podi began contemplating his future plans.
Firstly, he decided not to participate in this Soul Master Tournament. Currently, both of his grandfathers were high-level Contras but hadn't yet broken through to Title Douluo. If he drew too much attention, his safety couldn't be guaranteed. Whether it was the Spirit Hall or major sects, they might attempt to eliminate him prematurely.
His grandfather, Yang Wudi, was already at the peak of level 86 and could soon break through to level 87. Second Grandfather Yang Wushuang and his father were both at the peak of level 85. At their current cultivation speed, within three to five years, all three could become Title Douluo. Additionally, his maternal grandfather could also break through within five years. By then, no one would dare target him openly; no one wanted to face the wrath of four Title Douluo.
As for choosing the second team, the four single-attribute clans were currently allied. It was necessary to train Niu Meng, Tai Long, and Bai Xiaofei. While he wouldn't provide them with immortal herbs, he could offer them some assistance, especially his cousin Niu Meng.
Moreover, he anticipated that Qin Ming would soon begin forming Heaven Dou Royal Academy's first team, and Yang Podi wasn't particularly fond of Qin Ming.
In the original story, although Qin Ming was a teacher at Heaven Dou Royal Academy, his heart remained with Shrek Academy. During the match at Soto City's Great Spirit Arena between Heaven Dou Royal Academy's team and Shrek Academy's team, Tang San was notably harsher, even using hidden weapons to threaten members of the Heaven Dou team, nearly endangering Dugu Yan and others. Yet Qin Ming showed no concern for his own students and instead focused solely on Shrek Academy, which was disheartening.
Furthermore, when Shrek Academy left Heaven Dou Royal Academy, Qin Ming decisively resigned as well, claiming he couldn't forget Shrek Academy's nurturing. Did Heaven Dou Royal Academy not nurture him too? His departure betrayed the three committee members' efforts and expectations for him.
Regarding forming a team, it's straightforward. The four single-attribute clans already had five members at the academy. Adding his younger sister, who would be 13 by then, they'd nearly have a full team. They could find two auxiliary members within the school to complete it.
Yang Podi wanted to see how Qin Ming would handle the situation when the second team's spots were taken by his group.
After careful consideration and confirming there were no major issues, Yang Podi began meditating alone in his dormitory.
