Chapter 14: The Bloody Battle of Clear Sky Sect
🕑 Added 2024-10-02 15:39:10 +0000 UTCAlthough the gates and walls of the Clear Sky Sect are tall and majestic, providing some defense against ordinary people or low-level soul masters, they offer limited resistance to high-level soul masters.
However, most of the inner disciples of the Clear Sky Sect possess spirits like the Clear Sky Hammer. They lack long-range attack capabilities and, unlike Tang San, don't have hidden weapons to assist in the defense of the sect.
In just a quarter of an hour, the sect's walls were breached, and all the soul masters were forced into battle.
The Clear Sky Sect currently has four Titled Douluo: Tang Zhen at level 95, the First Elder at level 93, the Second Elder at level 92, and Tang Xiao at level 91. Their high-end combat power far exceeds that of other sects. Moreover, the power of the Clear Sky Hammer spirit and the Clear Sky Nine Techniques make it almost impossible for a Titled Douluo of the same level to defeat a Clear Sky Sect Titled Douluo one-on-one.
However, the Martial Soul Palace somehow obtained intelligence about the number and levels of the Titled Douluo in the Clear Sky Sect. This time, they dispatched eight Titled Douluo, more than the six they had originally detected.
Titled Douluo are incredibly powerful, their strength and destructiveness far greater than Soul Douluo or low-level soul masters. This forced Tang Zhen and the elders to engage the enemy directly to protect their disciples from being slaughtered.
Tang Zhen, although only level 95, was extremely powerful, outmatching even some level 96 soul masters. However, the Martial Soul Palace had made preparations in advance.
Tang Zhen was faced with Qianjun and Jiangmo, two level 96 Titled Douluo, both wielding the formidable Coiling Dragon Staff. In terms of raw power, the Coiling Dragon Staff was no weaker than the Clear Sky Hammer.
Even though the Clear Sky Nine Techniques were ingenious, Tang Zhen found himself struggling against their attacks and was gradually losing ground.
The First Elder, Second Elder, and Tang Xiao were also Titled Douluo, but their highest level was 93. While they had the advantage of the Clear Sky Hammer and the Clear Sky Sect's secret techniques, the Martial Soul Palace had prepared extensively. Each elder was forced to face two Titled Douluo, making it impossible to gain a swift victory, even for Tang Xiao.
In the original timeline, Tang Xiao defeated three Titled Douluo simultaneously, proving himself to be a master of the Nine Techniques. But now, having only recently advanced to Titled Douluo, his strength wasn't yet as exaggerated.
The Clear Sky Sect's situation was further complicated by the sheer number of enemy soul masters. Over seven or eight thousand soul masters were attacking, including a vast number of Soul Douluo and Soul Saints. It was clear that the Martial Soul Palace did not intend to leave the Clear Sky Sect any way to survive.
In just an hour, the entire Clear Sky Sect was reduced to ruins, flames filling the sky. The sounds of combat and the screams of the dying filled the air.
The exact number of casualties among the sect's soul masters was impossible to count, but it was clear that the toll was high. Even the First and Second Elders, both in their advanced age, were in danger, having suffered serious injuries.
Tang Zhen himself was under immense pressure. Qianjun and Jiangmo worked together seamlessly, with one defending while the other attacked. Their coordinated efforts made it harder for Tang Zhen to launch effective strikes, leaving him powerless to stop the slaughter.
Meanwhile, Tang Xiao faced less pressure, being at the peak of his physical and spiritual power at age 59. Yet, he was still occupied fighting two Titled Douluo and unable to assist anyone else.
The screams of Clear Sky Sect disciples filled the air as they were cut down. The four Titled Douluo were constantly distracted by the ongoing massacre, making it difficult for them to concentrate fully on their battles.
With a deafening roar, the First Elder's Clear Sky Hammer clashed with the martial spirit of a Titled Douluo with a Demon Bear Spirit. The First Elder used his seventh soul skill, his Martial Soul Avatar, while his opponent activated his Martial Soul True Body.
A massive Clear Sky Hammer struck a towering demonic bear. The two fighters seemed evenly matched, but while the First Elder was momentarily weakened after using his avatar, a Ghost Leopard Douluo darted forward and slashed him, leaving two deep wounds that exposed bone, even severing his left arm.
Sensing an opportunity, the two Titled Douluo pressed their advantage, launching a flurry of attacks. Ghost Leopard Douluo, in particular, moved with blinding speed, making him nearly impossible to defend against.
Seeing the situation, Tang Zhen used his ninth soul skill to hold off Qianjun and Jiangmo before rushing to the First Elder's aid.
However, the Martial Soul Palace had foreseen this move. As Tang Zhen flew towards the elder, the Demon Bear and Ghost Leopard Douluo abandoned their attack on the elder and targeted Tang Zhen instead. In an instant, Tang Zhen found himself facing four Titled Douluo at once.
The already precarious situation quickly worsened. As the spiritual leader of the Clear Sky Sect, Tang Zhen was a prime target. Under the relentless assault of the four Titled Douluo, Tang Zhen was soon overwhelmed, with Ghost Leopard Douluo delivering numerous sneak attacks.
Realizing the severity of the situation, Tang Zhen unleashed his ultimate technique. Soul rings on his Clear Sky Hammer began to explode one by one, causing the hammer to grow to the size of a mountain.
Qianjun and Jiangmo exchanged glances and activated their ninth soul skills: *Save All Living Beings, Achieve Bodhi*. The two Coiling Dragon Staffs expanded, resembling massive stone pillars, emitting dragon roars as they collided with Tang Zhen's Clear Sky Hammer.
The impact sent Qianjun and Jiangmo flying, blood trickling from their mouths, but Tang Zhen fared worse, his aura visibly weakened. Seizing the moment, the Demon Bear and Ghost Leopard Douluo launched another attack, with Ghost Leopard Douluo delivering a severe blow to Tang Zhen.
With one elder already injured and the other two seriously wounded, the fate of the Clear Sky Sect seemed sealed.
