Chapter 1: The Breaking Clan
🕑 Added 2024-10-02 11:11:55 +0000 UTCMy name is Yang Po Di, a simple working man.
How simple, you ask? Well, I'm almost 35 years old and it's been more than ten years since I graduated from college, but I've achieved nothing to date.
From entering society full of hope to now being deep in debt. I've worked in factories, sales, management, and even e-commerce. From a complete novice, I've gradually become numb to it all.
My biggest passion since childhood has been martial arts, and I've always harbored dreams of being a martial hero. Because of this, I even learned martial arts, practiced sanda, and trained with weapons. Unlike others who love swords and knives, I prefer spears. I always felt that swords and knives were too small, not manly enough, but Spears were far more imposing. What I admired most were those ancient times when one could travel the world on a white horse with a silver spear.
Nowadays, I work during the day, and at night, I'm alone in my rental watching TV, anime, and sometimes other stuff. Lately, I've been hooked on "Douluo Dalu", and the anime is truly exhilarating.
But, as someone with some experience, when I watched the anime for the second time, I started feeling something was off with the plot. Then, after going back to the original novel and reading countless fanfictions, I realized there were so many loopholes in the original story. My entire worldview began to crumble.
One day, feeling bored, I was watching something in my rental, fully engrossed, when suddenly, the power went out.
I couldn't help but curse in my heart, "What's going on? Why does this broken rental always have power outages? Did the circuit trip again?"
I opened the window to check, and it seemed like the other rooms around still had power.
I grabbed a broken stool, stood on it, and checked the breaker. Sure enough, it had tripped. I reached out to flip the switch back on, but suddenly, a strong current surged through me. I was immediately electrocuted and fell from the stool, losing consciousness.
Next thing I knew, it felt like I was trapped in endless darkness, struggling to breathe. Was I in an emergency room?
Suddenly, a light flashed before my eyes, and I heard chaotic voices: "It's born, it's born, finally born!"
Then, it felt like I was being held up, and my vision spun around.
When I looked closely, I saw that the one holding me was an old man, with a very firm face and a large scar.
He looked oddly familiar wasn't this "Yang Wudi" from "Douluo Dalu"?
I looked at myself and found I was in his arms. I tried to move my head, wiggling my arms and legs, but I felt so powerless. My hands were so small, like those of a newborn baby.
Wait, these were baby hands! What was going on? I was just electrocuted, so how did I end up in "Douluo Dalu"?
I tried to speak, but all that came out was a faint whimper, like a cry.
And then, everything spun again, and I fell asleep.
After days of waking and sleeping, I finally understood that I had probably transmigrated into the world of"Douluo Dalu", and I was now Yang Wudi's grandson, named Yang Po Di.
My father's name is "Yang Zhentian", and my mother is "Niu Jinfeng", apparently from the "Defense clan" My mother is tall and sturdy, with a broad back and strong waist, her build and stature rivaling that of my father. I've heard she is the beloved daughter of "Niugao", the patriarch of the Yu Clan.
But all this is just hearsay, since as a newborn baby, I could only catch snippets of conversation. For now, my main task was to eat well and grow strong.
The advantage of having a tall and sturdy mother is that I never lacked food, so I spent my days eating and sleeping, completely unaffected by the outside world.
Of course, trying to influence the outside world is impossible too. After all, I was just a newborn baby, unable to speak yet. Occasionally, I'd cry out a bit, but it sounded more like a whimper.
At this time, the "Clear Sky Clan" was the most powerful in the world. The "Breaking clan", being the top clan of the outer sect, had "Yang Wudi" as the outer sect's Grand Elder, holding a position of great power and authority.
As the only direct grandson born into the family, many people came to visit. I saw all sorts of faces, including the patriarchs of the "Strength", "Speed", and the "Defense", with "Niugao" being my maternal grandfather.
I also saw many from the "Clear sky clan", including "Tang Xiao", "Tang Hao", and "Tang Hao's" wife, "Ah Yin". Just like in the anime,"Tang Hao" and "Tang Xiao" were both tall and robust, exuding strength."Tang Hao" wasn't as disheveled as he appeared in the original story during the "Holy Spirit Village" arc. Instead, he looked rather handsome, which explains how he managed to woo a beauty like "Ah Yin"."Ah Yin" was very gentle and beautiful and even held me in her arms.
Unfortunately, as a baby, I didn't feel much, except that "Ah Yin's" body was incredibly soft, brimming with vitality.
And it seemed that "Ah Yin" wasn't pregnant yet, so at least for now, everything was safe. As for what happens later, there's nothing I can do as a baby.
Thus, I continued my routine of eating and sleeping for six months. Gradually, I began to grow my voice and was finally able to call out the simplest words, like "Papa," "Mama", and "Grandpa."
After six months, I could finally call people by name, which made the whole family incredibly happy. My grandfather, "Yang Wudi", often carried me around, spinning in circles, leaving me dizzy. But "Yang Wudi" seemed to enjoy it immensely.
I also started trying to walk, but I could only manage a few steps at a time. Thankfully, with my tall and sturdy mother watching over me, I felt relatively safe.
Since I could now call people, I was weaned off milk. My mother, "Niu Jinfeng", wasn't happy about it, insisting that a child should drink more milk to grow stronger.
But for me, it felt rather awkward. After all, mentally, I was over 35 years old. Suckling from my mother at this age was just… uncomfortable.
My father, on the other hand, was thrilled and even prepared some small soul beast meat every day, making soups for me. I wasn't sure if he was more excited for me or for something else.
The soul beast meat soups were incredibly nutritious. After every meal, I felt energetic and full of vitality. No wonder the foundation of those from noble families was so much stronger than that of ordinary people. Even the simplest soul beast meat had far more energy than regular fruits and vegetables, not to mention that these families had their own cultivation systems.
Half a year passed, and I could now speak clearly and walk independently, and quite smoothly too.
But my mother still hovered around me, constantly worried I'd fall, like a protective hen.
