I'm happy they don't view it as a harem. Probably why it doesn't bother me because it isn't their intent. That makes sense about Syr. It's her friend, after all. Ty.

The author stated in the postface of this chapter if not for the obvious reasons (that the book cannot end here and Wallenwhatsit), he might consider the Ryu route a true ending XD. Although Ryu is probably the most popular girl after this arc, the true heroine has always been Ais, the only girl (in the canon) Bell ever wanted to pick up, and strongly agreed with you that Danmachi is not a harem. The issue for Ryu’s feeling about Bell is she felt also guilty towards Syr, the girl who saved her loves Bell too, Ryu always thought she would help them together, and now, she literally cheated her friend.
