I agree there are a lot of anime out there that the creatures just kind of downsize sometimes it's OK but I would say 90% of the time is just like yo let the monster be the monster

I really like that Fel doesn't become smaller or hide in Mukoda's shadow like in other isekais. I feel like gimmicks like those are just lazy ways of not having to deal with the logistics of having an oversized companion. Top notch so far.

Damn, that's unfortunate. I guess it comes down to LNs being able to do more than an anime can.

I actually started reading the LN after the first episode. Sadly half of the fun is lost since they omit most of his inner dialogue. Before they got into the new country Fel told Mukohda that he would level any country that tried anything with him or his master. Pretty sure you're right that the slime will be in the next episode.
