I'd imagine some people fear eternity or infinity in some circumstances. I also noticed while editing this reaction that it's the 8th floor. Turn "8" to the side and you have the symbol for infinity.
Our boy Denji getting to cop a feel TWICE in a 24 hour period? Dude is checking off dreams faster than most shonen MC. LMAO! I also understand now that the Gun Devil caused the explosion that killed Aki's family. I was a little confused with that so enjoy the after discussion. XD

Maybe. I have a feeling it's going to be explained further later though. I heard we weren't suppose to see Aki's backstory like that until later.

All those lines like “XX minutes landing on XX country and X people was killed.” might be too long for anime since they are inside only one scene in the manga. There is no way mappa showing Aki’s surprising face for like 30+sec for Makima to read all those numbers.

Thank you. I feel that scene could have been explained better but I wonder if it was done intentionally to keep us somewhat in the dark 🤔

I just read the manga version of only this episode, there are some details about the “landing” of the Gun Devil. Makima said that the Gun Devil killed millions of people and in the manga, she explained that which countries the Gun Devil “appeared” and how much people it kills within 1-2mins. So all the destructions are caused by the Gun Devil itself instead of other stuff like boom.

So that means the same day America was attacked, so were other countries. Interesting. I look forward to this being elaborated on in the anime.

The background story of the gun demon, that's the way I understand it. First of all, I don't think the gun demon is a guy with a bunch of guns like the chainsaw Man. I noticed the image when Makima mentioned that 1.2 million people had been killed, a whole straight street was destroyed. Plus, Makima emphasized that the gun Demon moves fast. So my picture of the gun demon is like a fighter jet covered in machine guns. Which explains why the world can't find it because it's moving so fast. Also, the "line" around it is damaged when it fires. So. I think Aki's house is not "explosion" but was directly destroyed by the gun demon.
