Ooooh, ok. That makes more sense. I'm told they are called Spellswords in the manga. Interested to see if they are part of the kingdom or not. :)

Ah about the Dark Knights. I'm anime only, but i've been watching so much anime that i'm starting to pick up words, right. So they use the word "Makenshi" for "Dark Knight", but in TenKen, when Fran chooses her class, it's also Makenshi, and they translated it to "Swordmage". Kenshi is blademaster (Ken is Sword). And the prefix "Ma" is associated with magic, for exemple in "Majutsu", Magic Arts, or "Maseki" Magic Stone. POINT IS, Dark Knight might be a bit of a generous translation, it could just mean a "Magic Swordsman". Therefore, those guys might not necessarily be ex-students from this school, or any school. Or i'm completely wrong, and they are. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
