I feel like the introduction of Near and Mellow was cool and needed to spice things up. I really like L, but we dealt with the L vs Light scenario for awhile. A switch up made it feel fresh.

That's a shame. I was afraid the quality would drop, but it has stayed consistent and some parts have actually been better than the L arc. Getting closer and closer to the finale!

i completely agree with the caption man. even after L the show remained great. may be an unpopular opinion but i honestly like near more than L. i loved L’scharacter but there’s something about near that just makes him a more lovable character
