It's crazy how mysterious this anime has been. I love it. I wonder if the shadows need a 3d body to leave the island. Maybe they are trying to flee from mothers rebirth?

You hardly see story telling like this outside of anime. Every episode has been amazing. My biggest question atm is what is the shadows goal, do they want to leave, but why do they want to and need to leave if thats true? Do they want to kill humans? But what would that accomplish? Are they actually feeding or is this information copied possibly used for other things? I have so many questions stirring of why these shadows are doing all of this.
