The website for the hotel is shown to say "cosplay ok" when we see Marins phone. So, while it is a love hotel, people do seem to use them as a cheap studio for photo shoots and the hotel seems to know that. After all, if you can rent by the hour it can make for a good studio. But, shenanigans still occur it seems.

THey stayed very true to the manga. I was looking forward to how they were going to portray this scene. To be fair though, despite this being an ecchi manga, it's rather tame even in the manga version. She still focuses a lot more on the innocent interactions than the overly risque scenes, even if there were a couple scenes that the anime has slightly censored down, not that it was all that bad to begin with. Overall still a good episode.

lol I was wondering how they were going to adapt these parts. It's a pretty iconic scene in the manga. Marin has no chill until she actually gets flustered, after that shes just like any other teenager with raging hormones.
