🕑 Added 2021-02-19 23:10:49 +0000 UTCThe introduction of the "Devil of..." was interesting and I had a feeling that final would appear, but not in the form of a "Devil" which makes me wonder what makes him different from Archbishops and Witches. I had some speculation on that in the video. No spoilers please. :) The rest of this season is going to be insane, but man what a pay-off these last few episodes have been with filling in the gaps!

Yeah, should have been warlock and it would have avoided all the comments telling me what a warlock is. XD Like... I know what a warlock is. XD If they would have used that term in the episode I would have instantly put 2 and 2 together. LOL Good old translations.

Yeah, I wish they would have used warlock because it would have made it so so many people didn't have to comment about it lol. If they used Warlock I would have instantly understood that he is a witch since I know what a warlock is. XD

Season 2 has been one big backstory telling for every single "main" character that is with Subaru. Beatrice, Roswaal, Emilia, Garfiel all of these characters will be important allies for Subaru to move forward. These were only Ryuzu's memories so we still missing what Roswaal knows about the situation that happened to Sanctuary. I have understood that "devil" was mistranslation and "Warlock" is the right translation as that is male witch version.

Devil was a crunchyroll mistranslation. It should have been warlock of melancholy. Warlock being a male witch. I'm told it's because the japanese language doesn't have an equivalent word for male witch, but the light novel translators knew what was meant and the underpaid crunchyroll translators did not. But that's just what I heard. But it is warlock in the light novels.
