Update I - building assets
🕑 Added 2023-10-08 22:49:42 +0000 UTCBreakdown:
After being satisfied with my recent Conquest Reforged build, one of my stalled commissions will be put into gear. Being honestly not sure how I'm going to get to all of the builds I still have to put in motion, I'll slowly start working from a point, and work my way down the list with Olympic level patience and commitment whilst keeping my health balanced and my mind up to date.
I'm sure most already put one and one together with the determination that building in Minecraft can have a massive impact on sleeping patterns and the brain if exercise is not routined, and structure not primary. As before mentioned, I'd like to keep all aspects of my life in equilibrium without putting too much strain on the mind with creative thinking. However, I don't want the image for my next commission to become obscured by taking too much time away from building, so I'll try to play around with a couple of ideas till something eventually take shape, and slowly work towards a structure while giving myself a breather the process.
I still have obligations that should realistically be considered and regulated by means of external experiences that requires me to be away from my desktop. Though I'm not unfamiliar with building islands and kingdoms for days without end, I'm still puzzled by the amount of time and effort people put into building structures seemingly without taking a break lol. Commendable, but probably extremely strenuous and draining.
Building Style:
Though the standard for my next build is a Greco-Roman residence, I'll have to figure out if I'm going to take the traditional approach, or a mixture of different styles that still preserves the general consensus perpetuated for literally thousands of years. I don't think it's a good idea to exclaim a specific groundwork while not having anything conclusive on the Plainfield, so I'll get started as soon as possible to see where I'm going with the build.
The versions I'll be working with will be Conquest Reforged 1.18.2 - 1.19.2+. Both are now supported by Iris and Sodium, which will take care of the usual performance issues experienced in the past. If you're not familiar with fabric and Iris, you'll thank yourself for taking interest if you want a leap in performance that can carry you that extra mile on a low-end system. Highly recommended!
Gratitude:
I'll say this till I am no more. Thank you for sticking around and supporting me. What I'm able to do with your support is truly lifechanging for the people around me. Thank you abundantly! :]
Update I:
After juggling with a couple of ideas, I finally have a lucid picture of where I'm going with the build. A couple of façades and frames are now established on my basis, which gives me direction and foresight. Palette is not really a primary focus at the moment, so I'm okay with flat colors with structural progress. I'll try to upload an image as soon as possible to keep you guys updated.
Update I: (Extension)
I started working on a couple of assets before putting the build into a more complex perspective with connected areas, curves, and other additions that I'm currently working on. What is illustrated above is of course rudimentary; susceptible to modifications, or simply just removed entirely if I don't find it appealing for what I have in mind.
For now, I'll continue constructing more assets to give me a larger range of tools to add to the build as I move along. When everything settles down, I'll divert my focus toward overall layout and structural extensions that will start breathing life into the build.
