I finally did it! 🎉
🕑 Added 2025-01-24 00:45:25 +0000 UTC3D EYELASHES THAT:
❌ don’t “float,” don’t stick to hair, don’t respond to any incorrect face sliders;
✅ hold a smooth shape with any presets, fit snugly against the eyelids, don’t ripple, and yes, they’re so big that they could send you into space 😅 (don’t judge too harshly, it’s just a texture drawn in 5 minutes to demonstrate the mesh)!
Let me share a bit of history. When you see that eyelashes from various creators ripple due to sliders, hair, or other factors, or sit slightly away from the eyelids, creating a “floating” effect, it’s not because the creator didn’t want to make them work perfectly or just decided to leave them as is. It’s because the eyelid area on a sim’s mesh is incredibly complex, and it’s almost impossible to create a properly functioning eyelash mesh in the standard way (the way we usually make any meshes).
But I refused to accept this and set out to find a way to make the placement of the eyelash mesh on a sim’s face depend solely on the eyelids. And I managed to do it! I’m genuinely so happy and feel a huge sense of relief because, honestly, last week, I had almost given up hope that I could pull this off, haha.
As I mentioned, the eyelash version you see in the picture is just a test. I’m planning to create a variety of eyelash options: big and small, more realistic and Maxis Match, for all genders and age groups. Of course, not everything at once, but... Well, you can expect the first set of eyelashes very soon! 🩷

Awww thank you so much, really appreciate it!! ❤️❤️❤️ Maybe this info helps on the investigation: The old pre-lovestruck-patch eyelashes from Kijiko and from TwistedCat were working in first person without hovering in the view, and they still do but they of course were broken as the code for eyes changed when EA made the glasses fix in the 1 patch right after the lovestruck patch. After that when Kijiko and TwistedCat fixed their lashes to morph correctly with the eye again (probably transfered weights from EA lashes potentially and not sure if something changed in uv_1 or vertext paint) then suddenly their lashes were visible in first person. Something in that CC fix made it change, that was responsible for it to show/hide in first person 🤔 I still have their old version and they are still hiding correctly, but they don't morph with their eyes, so I can't use them in the game anymore..

The sim's head mesh is originally flawed! This is not even a joke. Every creator tries to come up with their own workarounds to deal with it. For example, some make the eyelashes "levitate" specifically to avoid deformation caused by the hair.

Wow, that sounds amazing, congrats to achieving that!! Looking forward to try them 😍 When you say they don't "float" do you also mean that they don't float in first person camera mode by any chance? Since Lovestruck all of the CC eyelashes are now visible in front of the screen in first person camera mode (tab in live mode) and obstructing the beautiful view, it's sooo sad 😭 I'm still searching for any CC eyelashes that are hidden in first person cam.
