The Future of Updates

No problem, man

Ah, okay. That's honestly what I thought, and then you mentioned moving the saves, so I was like "whaaaa? I tried!" Thanks for the reply, Unk!
In that situation it wouldn't work because the individual chapter releases would be treated like completely different games. There's no programming from Chapter 4 in Chapter 5 for the save file to call upon to load it up. So, that might be what's causing the problem and why it didn't work for you.

Hmm.. Last time I tried to move my Chapter 4 game (Because I wasn't quite finished when Chapter 5 came out) to my Chapter 5 Saves folder, it wouldn't work. I've done that same saveswap with other games and it's worked, so I dunno. Maybe I did something wrong this time? I'm not blaming you, of course, this issue could very well be user error. xD
I think Renpy is pretty user friendly and lets you port your old save from one version to the other. I'll be experimenting with it this month to make sure there are no issues if the single file option wins the poll.

Uncle, I like how the content is released by chapter, but not being able to start from a save point is a bit of an issue. Other than that, I like seeing the new content when you finish with it, but the larger, single download is nice too.
haha interesting start. I can pretty tone death but even I think I can see the writing on the wall here. I'll let it run for a few days in case there's a massive push in favor of single chapter releases but... haha
