My eyes opened, and I looked up at a familiar ceiling. I couldn't help but think everything that happened yesterday was just a dream. Thankfully, I felt some pressure on my right side; it was a beauty who was sleeping soundly with rhythmic breathing. To think it all actually happened and is truly my reality. I couldn’t be happier about that because it means I will be with Akari for the rest of my life. Something I very much needed was a rock to lean on, and she does an amazing job at that.
Even though it’s only been a day since we met, it just feels so right. Especially after we completed the imprinting, all my feelings for Akari just bloomed. There’s this extremely powerful feeling inside me to possess her. I’m sure with how I’ve understood her personality, she would be extremely happy about that. At the same time, I feel her urges towards me. Just like Akari, I’m completely content with giving myself to her. Beastkin imprinting is such a powerful thing and can get you addicted to someone.
Beep Beep Beep
I slam my alarm with way too much strength, shattering it upon impact, causing Akari to stir awake and lock eyes with me. We just sit there staring at each other for a while before she gives me a wide smile. Then she gave me a peck on my lips. This is by far my favorite morning I’ve ever had. I’m going to have so many more favorites from this moment forward.
“Good morning, Akari,” I said as I kissed her back.
“Good morning, Haru.”
“I don’t feel like going to school today, and also, is there even a reason?” I asked.
“There is no reason to go at all besides having fun.” Akari had a wicked look on her face.
“What did you have in mind?”
“Why don’t we show everyone in this world what beastkin are like?” She said while rubbing my ears.
“You’re saying we go to school without hiding any of our features and do whatever we want?” The idea sounds extremely thrilling.
“That’s right, and during the class you call P.E., we can do some magic training.” She said with a giggle.
“I have to say the idea of that does sound enticing. But we would have to leave the city right after.”
“Do you really want to stay here any longer? Your parents pretty much said last night they will choose their career over your safety.”
“That’s a great point, but don’t we still have to stay for a few more days before we can go to your world?”
“It’s not necessary; I have everything we need in my ring. We can live anywhere for a while and not have to worry about food or water. It’s the perks of being a princess.” She winked at me with a chuckle.
“Awesome, let’s get dressed and head out.”
Akari knew a spell called clean that she used on our clothes and body. That shirt was so perfect for our display today. I loved my Akari shirt, and she smirks every time she looks at it. My parents were nowhere to be seen; when we were leaving the house, it was probably for the best. We decided to wear our hoodies and take them off just before entering school. There was no need to get unwanted attention before we entered the campus.
Arriving in the front of the school, Akari and I look at each other, nodding. I take off my hoodie and give it to her to throw back into her ring. We clasp each other’s hand and walk into school. My body had made quite an interesting change last night.
I became a lot buffer than I was yesterday. A lot of my fat got put into lean muscle because of my Beastkin transformation. With those changes to my body, I look a lot better next to her now. Akari had told me that looks were never a concern for her; she was after the feeling of being with the right person, being led by her instincts.
It didn’t take us that long to get most people’s attention as we walked through the front entrance. Akari’s hand started to tighten. The next thing I know, she snaps her fingers, and an extremely bright light bursts out from her. It caused everyone in our surroundings to look away instantly as we casually walked past them with being unable to see us.
“Those damn bitches are looking at you with those bitch-in-heat eyes. They should know their damn place and not get any ideas.” Akari said with scorn.
“I felt that exact same way about some of those lust-filled eyes looking your way. Akari, you’re just too damn cute, and I have a feeling it’s going to cause a lot of issues in the future.” I said with slight annoyance at the fact of someone actually approaching Akari in that way.
“Haru, you already know my heart, and there isn’t anything in this world or the other that can change it.” She said with confidence that I’m the only one for her. "Plus, I would probably kill that man before you even had the chance."
“That goes double for me; I would never choose anyone over you.” I cupped Akari’s face and kissed her just before we got to our homeroom, showing a few people a scene.
We both went to the back of the room, where we sat yesterday. Akari positioned herself on my lap and leaned back into me. I put my arms around her midsection and squeezed a bit. In everyone else’s eyes, I’m sure they see two cosplayers being way too friendly with each other. Literally every single person was staring at us in the class, and when anyone would enter the room, they would look bewildered.
“Do we have to charge for a show or something?” Akari said, as she looked at the people staring.
Someone bravely spoke up, “So, what the hell are you two supposed to be?”
“What are you talking about? Isn’t that obvious? This cutie sitting on my lap is my fox beastkin wife, and I’m her object of affection, also known as her husband.” I said with a smile on my face, then kissed Akari on the cheek. The fact that all this just came out of my mouth so confidently is astounding to me. She gives me courage, and I feel so comfortable and powerful around her.
“Oh really, I didn’t know today was Halloween. The word freak is the only thing explaining your actions and costumes.” Another classmate chimed in.
“Look at my current predicament, and you think calling me a freak would hurt?” I said with a loud laugh. "Ahahaha" Feeling myself completely let go in front of all those people who looked down on me was a thrilling experience.
Akari turns her head in my direction and puts her lips on mine. The normal wet and moist sensation, I’ve grown to love. I immediately open my mouth, letting her in, and we play tongue battle right in front of the class. We do this for a good two minutes, and not one person says a word. “Freak, you say? I think I’m ok with that.” Akari said as she gave me one more peck on the lips and looked at the class with cold eyes.
Now you could see both the men and women with envious eyes at the fact we were so open in front of everyone in the class. They also probably wanted to join the freaks of the class and be able to make out with such passion. But none of these people were even on our radar.
“Aren’t you Haru? Who always keeps to himself and usually gets bullied on a daily basis?” A random girl asks.
“What’s it to you?” Akari said with venom in her voice as she slammed her hand onto the desk, creating a crack. It seems she's much better at controlling her strength than I was with the alarm clock this morning.
“I’m just curious how he changed so much in only one day.”
“Well, the short answer is Akari here came from another world to find her fated partner. As it turned out, I happened to be the one she was looking for, and after we mated with each other. I turned into a fox beastkin, the same as her.” I said with confidence.
“So is this like your story to tell everyone for your little act?” Many students let out some laughter at this comment.
“What makes you think this is an act?” Akari asked.
“Coming from another world like a fantasy novel, shut the fuck up. There’s no way anyone would believe a word that comes out of your mouth.”
“Have you ever thought how people get their ideas for the novels they write? Maybe they actually witnessed a new world and gave them inspiration for writing their story.” I said with sarcasm in my tone. "Maybe they had a vision or saw it in a dream; who knows?"
“Yeah, ok, and Santa Claus is also real.”
“Akari, show him what you can do.” She nodded.
She put her middle finger up as all the class took one step back on reflex. A red light started to emerge from the top and started increasing in size. The temperature in the room started to rise as the fireball got bigger. By the time it was the size of a basketball, you could see the panic of everyone in the room. Then just like that, Akari snaps her fingers, and the fireball disappears.
“You should know who you're talking to before you speak to your betters, humans.” Akari said with disdain for every human present.
Not a person said a word, and that’s when the teacher entered, “Get to your seats now; it’s time for roll call.”
As the teacher was going down the list, he still didn’t acknowledge the way Akari and I were seated. Then he called out, “Haru.”
“Here,” I said as the teacher glanced our way and paused.
“What do you think you’re doing? We don’t allow any kind of relationships on school property. If she doesn’t get off your lap soon, then I will give you both detentions.”
We just stared at the teacher without saying a word, and the rest of the class was dead silent. I could see a few blood vessels on his forehead start to bulge. He walked up to the both of us and gave detention slips, “Both of you see me after school.”
Akari grabbed both slips in one hand and burned them to a crisp. “What detention slips?”
The teacher looked back at us with both slips having disappeared. The whole class saw them go up in flames, but he was turned around at the time. Akari suddenly kisses me on the lips before turning back to the teacher with a smile. He looked like he was about to have a heart attack; he was so angry. That’s when the bell rang, and we walked out of the classroom.
The first and second periods went pretty much how homeroom did, with us messing around with our act. During third period, Akari started to show me how to control mana. I would try to ignite a fire on my finger and not let it grow. Students were staring at us in awe while we sparked a small fire on top of our finger. Normally a fireball would keep increasing as it feeds off your mana. Having it smaller allowed me to increase my control.
Fifth period is next and probably our last class of the day before we leave this place. It’s P.E., where we will be able to show off much more spectacularly.
“I will be able to teach you how to fire off something big in our next class.” Akari said with a smirk.
“Sounds like fun.” I chuckled back at her.
Normally you would have to change into your P.E. clothes, but neither of us cared too. We just showed up to our class in our normal attire and waited for it to start. It was pretty entertaining at this time because most people around us knew of our antics throughout the day. You would hear people talking in a whisper, trying to figure out what our true motives were. It’s extremely easy to hear these people talk amongst themselves with my new senses.
Akari and I would just laugh at each other when we would hear another crazy theory. Not one single person believed Akari was from another world, and we were legit fox beastkin. The most agreed-upon opinion was that we had gone insane. I’m sure, with the spectacle we're about to perform, the insanity claim will grow even higher.
“Haru, we’re going to find out which element you have an affinity with. There is a high likelihood it could be fire, but it’s not certain. We do have the same mana, but our control over a certain element can vary.”
“I’m in your hands; please teach me well!” I said with a smile, completely willing to do whatever she suggested.
