Weekly Update (08/15/2022)
🕑 Added 2022-08-16 03:41:14 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here comes another update post.
So this week was about what we predicted. About 95% of the art is done and we're just having to assemble it all. Thankfully though, we do still have a couple of treats for you. First off, we realized that just typing "*yawn*" for Lilith all the time kinda sucked. It's a big part of why we put in the effort to rework her, her dialogue just felt kind of repetitive. To replace it, we have (drum roll, please): A YAWNING LILITH SPRITE!
Hopefully this gives her a bit more character, as we were hoping with the overall redo of her dialogue. Additionally, for all you Annie lovers out there, we've got a real cute little animation we put together for her eating some cake in this update. She eats a little faster than she really should - cake's a favorite of hers. Also, bouncy = better.
Aside from those, as I said, a loooot of work is going into the sprite work. That new method for sprites that we mentioned last week has paid off beautifully and the game is just generally more expressive. We'll probably roll this method out to the rest of the game in 0.3, but no time for that on this update. We wanna get this out to guys as soon as we can. Thank you all, yet again, for your generous support, and you'll hear from us some more soon :)
