And we are back with a new story segment for "Mona daily life with Slime", that I was working on this week! Its a pretty big one, and I rarely do such a big WIP releases, but I felt like it would feel complete only if I show it in full. So please welcome! And please enjoy! (っˆڡˆς)❤️

And here I would usually go in depth about some of this week's creation stuff, like how I learned some new ways of color grading, or working on improving on general saturation and scene flow, or teasing some upcoming story surprises... But today we have a slightly different story on our hands I feel I gotta share.
About a week ago, Patreon decided to "hide" one of my recent "Mona daily life with Slime" WIPs - the scene where Slime wakes Mona up, she gives him that "what do you want?" look, he does a cute praying gesture, and Mona sighs because… well, she's not too happy about being woken up mid-night. Apparently, that alone was enough for Patreon to label the post as "Sexually Gratifying Works".
I contacted the Patreon Team, explaining that it's literally a comedic scene: no nudity, no sexual acts whatsoever. And I'm really not sure what part of it violates the website guidelines. So I assumed the flag was just a mistake.
Their reply was, and i quote:
"We allow a variety of sexual content and fetish art so long as it’s consensual. The most important aspect that we take into account during our review is the context of the narrative or the rendering. This would include any unwilling or unwanted coercion or placement into sexual relations. If it seems like the character doesn’t want to be in the situation, identifying consent will be more difficult. "
Well… yeah.
The whole point of "Mona daily life with Slime" project is to turn the usual tentacle hentai trope upside down. Create a fun wholesome "slice of life" video of these two living together, and show fun situations they run into. I literally have scenes of Slime asking for permission multiple times. Even in the current WIP, Mona agrees to his request, and summons tentacles herself. Not to mention what happen next in their story - it may actually surprise you! (｡> ‿ ◕｡) ❤️
This project is honestly one of the most SFW things I've ever done, and that's the whole point of it. So getting flagged for "breaking consent" is… surprising, to put it mildly. After talking with Kitsune, Shuro, Toon, Rii, and everyone on Discord, here are my current thoughts:
It seems Patreon really doesn't want characters to show any dissatisfaction in a scene that might become NSFW later, even if the dissatisfaction is literally just "being woken up at midnight." Having a character's eyes closed seems to raise even more red flags for them, even if the character is clearly awake in the context. And on top of that, they marked it NSFW, even though nothing NSFW had happened yet - and they don't even know what Slime was asking for.
Long story short: I'm not happy with Patreon's approach here. "Mona daily life with Slime" has zero non-consensual content, nothing like that implied, and nothing hinted - same as all my other works. But Patreon is Patreon. Their platform, their rules, their interpretation and implementation of those rules. So going forward, if a character expression looks "sleepy" or mildly "annoyed", I may have to remove or alter that part for Patreon specifically.
Other platforms have no issues with my storytelling, or specifically "Mona daily life with Slime" project, so I'll continue posting my works as usual on SubscriberStar, Pixiv, Twitter, and Discord (you can find all links on our FAQ website: https://vicineko.carrd.co/ ).
Outside of those two "sensitive" themes, Patreon posts will continue normally, without cuts. For the full "Mona daily life with Slime" release on Patreon, I'm considering trimming or adjusting the flagged parts (for Patreon release) and posting everything else as usual. Hopefully we won't run into this kind of "rule interpretation" again.
At the end of the day, these are my stories, and I will tell them the way I believe they should be told. If Patreon doesn't want to show them in their full form - so be it. The internet has many places for art.

Well, i consider this situation to be just a minor issue with Patreon. Most of the time everything going smoothly, except some latest updates to the website interface and some page loading time. Still, the "event" leaves quite a bad taste, and i hope it all will be better in future. And yeah, i have alternative pages, like SubscriberStar. Our current Mona WIP goes there in "uncut" version. Plus we started uploading our WIPs on GOFILE. So theres plenty of ways for us to stay in touch (｡> ‿ ◕｡) ❤️ As for duration of Mona daily life with Slime, its all changing and shaping on the fly, but i think we are looking at around 10 min video, plus-minus (๑❛ڡ❛๑)👍

Have you considered potentially sending the WIPs on patreon as a message instead of a post. Could that remove the potential of AI or a human viewing the gif in the post as a problem. I know the artist Mana has had problems before. Their previews are Cropped to just a face and the files are in a zip on the post, could that solve issue? (Mana's work is often not concenting). So maybe the gif on the post should be cropped or a still if you think it may be an issue on the platform.

The level of detail on everything is amazing as always, I can't wait!! I also think some idiots might have reported this and it was auto flagged. To interpret an animation as showing consent or not just based off facial expressions is beyond idiotic. You need to look at the context of the scenes as just interpreting facial movements is not enough, in law its about the context and intent. I hope you can release the uncut version on Discord or elsewhere in the future.
