Oct 27th last year: "High tier patrons also pledged for a private room that you can place sex scenes alone or with invited steam friends only. That was effectively the depreciated dormitory mode...we will see how to proceed with this." Which means dormitory mode of the old used to allow this. So assumption was that it would bring this back. I admit I don't read EVERY patch note but, it definitely was expected as dormitory mode USED to have it.
