Not to put too fine a point on it, but whatever the state of Galatea's approval by Steam, the removed post at issue had Galatea (a character that reads visually, at the very least, as the youngest of the Investigators we've seen so far) posed and presented in a way that gave the impression of her being more childish - putting aside any questions of appropriateness, Steam and Patreon's approval of Galatea's design is wholly contingent on their level of certainty that a character in a porn game doesn't appear to be a child. That Steam and Patreon HAD already approved her design before the render in the deleted post made them reconsider tells me that Project Helius just made a stupid unforced error in how they were presenting Galatea in a way that could have regulators crack down on any of the three groups if Galatea as presented in that render made it to the Steam release (like come on guys, the character Steam and Patreon already had their eyes on for her design sitting on a high chair drinking a fucking juice box? You're asking for a crackdown by posting that thoughtlessly).

There’s two major differences that would cause issues for Galatea that aren’t problems for Marie Rose - first, Dead or Alive isn’t a porn game, so it doesn’t actually matter how old Marie Rose is so long as she visually reads as old enough to be wearing skimpy clothes with nobody batting an eye. Galatea, as a porn character, is held to an entirely separate standard, especially if Project Helius wants access to the audience and funding that Steam and Patreon allow for. Second, and as briefly noted above, Marie Rose looks obviously old enough that even if she’s not 18 or older in Dead or Alive lore, she comfortably enough looks like she might be that if you were hooking up with somebody who looked like Marie Rose in real life it’d be prudent to ask how old she is before proceeding, but as a character in a video game, you wouldn’t be in trouble seeing her nude. Not to put too fine a point on it, but short, flat-chested Galatea with the relatively young-looking face was drinking a fucking juice box in the deleted post, no fucking wonder people got the ick from it lol Basically, Marie Rose has plausible deniability as far as age on account of looking like a young adult in a context where you’d expect to see somebody around 18, Galatea has no such benefit of the doubt. If she doesn’t look, act, and come off immediately as an adult in a porn game, Steam, Patreon, and Project Helius would risk regulators cracking down on them.

Personally, I'm okay with Galatea delays in this case - looking through older stuff that show Galatea's model, she's the kind of character you've gotta walk a fine line to be absolutely clear that she's an adult. The image in the removed post from the other day gave the impression the devs were stepping on the wrong side of that line based on how they were posing and presenting her, so back into review she goes. Based on those earlier posts including Galatea's model, I think she can absolutely be implemented... but there has to be care taken and a hard line drawn to the satisfaction of the content moderators at Steam and Patreon to avoid characterizing her as being especially young or childish, which the removed post failed at in the eyes of those that reported it, and it would be irresponsible on the part of the devs to ignore why that happened, in my humble opinion.

Looking back through the stuff we've seen of flatter chested characters where available, it's not a problem of flatness in the case of Galatea, cause Yanshi's model is flat without also looking as especially young, and you'd be hard pressed to say Celia in the current game looks particularly young relative to other characters we've seen - Galatea, at least as depicted by the deleted post's image, looked outright childish. There's a fine line a porn game has to walk to make absolutely clear that a character who is both short and flat chested doesn't look childish, and Galatea's on the razor's edge on that front, at least as far as the image they released was concerned.

As said on the now removed post, just modify her so she doesn't look like a child. Problem solved. Paedophiles will whine about it, but Steam isn't going to release something that will inadvertently get people thrown in prison in pretty much all countries, bar Japan and the USA. Though with the latter it's a rather grey area due to the realism being dealt with here.

Once this game is associated with pdf, there will always be an eye on you and the whole game might be in trouble. Focus on improving on the content that is already there.
